The better AJ's had a lot higher bids than expected and others that I bid on went for way more than I was willing to pay. Shipping and tax took it over $ 300. Looked like the Tuesday day night special crowd had some bidding frenzies.

Been thinking about this one, and I'm still not there yet. I am to the point where I'm buying top tier smokes, but I still like to get the best price possible. Any money saved can be put to other hobbies.

This round I bought four 5packs. I bought two from the small place bc they had want I wanted. Basically paid retail. They also had the other two 5 packs that I wanted but I bought elsewhere and saved almost 35 bucks.

Maybe one day I won't care but like I said I'm not quite to that phase yet.

Thanks for the list. I have tried several of those, Long Live the King, MB3 and Serie V are some of the ones I've really liked and keep in the humidor.

Picked up a 5pack of those Viaje Nicaragua Leaded that you and mjrburn were talking about the other day. They had been on my wishlist for a long time but just never bought them. Looking forward to trying a couple next spring.

I wouldn’t necessarily put these in the “Best Scores” category but went to a Fuente / Diamond Crown smoker last night with HOnizuka and while not looking for anything, did buy a few smokes that were HTF so bought them.

JC Newman The American Robusto - 100% American made, not carried by any Hawaii retailer
OX Perfecxion No. 77 Shark - a bit pricey at $34 each but they’ve been much more online…and usually out of stock
Unnamed Reserve 2021 - I bought the last one and the guy gave me the box

They had and would have bought a couple of Rare Pink Happy Endings but they were all out by the time I got to the RP section. But I don’t feel too bad since I got the OX Sharks instead.

Edit: got an e-mail from a place in AZ that said they had the OX 77s back in stock. A box of 36 for a measly $2,340 or $65 each! Guess I shoulda bought a few more last week!

Edit #2: it just dawned on me that you can get this years TAA set, which has both Fuente and Julius Caeser Sharks for under $60. Much better deal (…iffin’ you really gotta have an OX Shark…).

Different violas and decent discount for ligas, about 20-25%. If you don't know what site I'm referring too, we're not on the same "page".

For some reason, I always get a box of the annual release of CH Las Calaveras, usually the romusto vitola, even tho none have been anywhere close to the quality of the OR romusto in 2014... although they are solid cigars, I am usually somewhat disappointed because of the comparison...at some point I'll get off this merry go round...

You get bombed daily, maybe 3-5 emails, but the regular search feature sometimes won't find "secret" deals that link through email ads. I'd suggest that if you don't have a junk email account with gmail or whatever, set one up for this type of thing. Way easier to ignore the bombings if they get sent to an email you know is set up for that sort of abuse.
