Good morning, gents. 67F right now with a high of 78-80; uncharacteristic, repressive summer-like heat this winter. Going to do some yard work this morning before attending a consumer research focus group later this afternoon.

40?!

Fantastic!

Wish I didn't have to work 6:30-5:00 so I could enjoy it, but it does mean the death of a fair amount of ice and snow.

A woman is on trial for beating her husband to death with his guitar collection.
The judge says, "First offender?"
She says, "No, first a Gibson, then a Fender!" d'oh!

Very warm here too.

Stinks outside. Pretty sure all the flooding has overflowed everybody's septic system. Stinks of sewage pretty badly.

Damn, damn... damn. MCRD Boat Ramp won't be open until the end of March.

The Shelter Island Boat Ramp was supposed to be done then, too... but is behind schedule and will open "summer".

Hey, Al... the San Diego (out of Seaforth Landing) is catching yellowtail at the Coronado Islands again. Prep yo stuff for April.

Yessir... they're in the middle of rebuilding that whole area. Making it bigger, wider, more accessible, and redoing the concrete ramp with all the potholes in it.

Couldn't sleep last night again. Laid down at 2ish, gave up and got up at 5.

Was thinking maybe take family to Chicago, go to museum or something. But it's free day at museum (for IL residents - not me) so it'll be too crowded.

Made some french toast n scrambled eggs with cheese.

For fun I've edited out more clips from the last dive trip. I don't think there is anything else particularly worthwhile on the gopro.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuP-AA3LQePUkGjPCLV2zMw

I don't know how to make the link less obnoxiously random... but that's what it is....

Next up, I'm gonna try to edit down clips from the previous playa trip... which included the Wall in Cozumel, a wreck in cozumel, a night dive in playa del carmen and two cenote dives....

I'd mainly look at Cenote Dreamgate... it really was the most crazy...
Cenote El Pit is cool to dive, but ultimately it's just an enormous hole in the ground. Not much to show people....
Cenote TajMa Ha has a cool descent through a pretty tight spot,.... and I think that one has a lot of prehistoric fossils (the spiral shells in limestone)... I tried to get a closeup of one...
Cenote Ponderosa wasn't as exciting... nice views of the light hitting the cavern entrance, but it was definitely the lesser of the 4.

Had a tree removed from the front yard, stump and all. My white ash (tree, not butt) was trimmed so much it looks skeletal, but the arborist assures me it is a healthy tree and will grow back just fine. Same for my shrub and Oleander. They look like ghosts of themselves... but they were way overgrown and needed trimming.

$1,040 later... d'oh!

Oh, and you can really hold your breathe a loooong time, Victor.

Just ordered parts to build a new computer.

Current one is from 06 with a couple hardware upgrades in 2010. Can't keep up anymore. Did a fresh reformat and install a few months ago but it struggles just to stream Netflix or even watch a saved video from disk.

Took family to zoo yesterday. Was high 50's and partly sunny so I just wore a sweatshirt.

Turned back into winter real quick. Windy and 37 by the time we left. I was frozen.

36 and pouring rain again today.

More flooding.
