Further studies have shown that people's tribalism is so dysfunctional that when they are given disbursement tasks (ie, you must disburse these 10$ between your group and "them") people would rather get less, if it means they can ensure that the "them" group is hurt (ie, if given a choice of disbursing $5 to each group, or only getting 4$ for their group but ensuring the "them" only gets $3, they would rather only get 4$)

This can be clearly demonstrated by the subject here... people would gladly vote for trump on a second term, strictly because of the suffering they believe will be afflicted on the "them" group. Even if there is a better candidate.

Well, that explains it.......I couldn't figure out how Obummer got elected for the second term.......now I understand

Vic, what gets me through most of the Donald's BS is the idea that"cooler heads prevail".

To me the guy is a cancer. And we're collateral damage. For the time being anyway.

Who knows really, maybe just wishful thinking on my part, but between his utter incompetence, investigation and popularity rating I don't even see him finishing out his term.

He has to finish his term. and a second term.

He's not a cancer. He's representative of a cancer in our country. If you just "treat the symptom" by investigating/impeaching/not reelecting... then it will come back.

He has to complete all 8 years... hell, I'd hope for more. He has to remain in office long enough that every dumb decision he makes, every bridge he burns with our former allies, every regulation he decides to simply eliminate without consideration of whether it's a good idea... has repercussions directly impacting his presidency.

If he leaves office before the repercussions are felt, all the dumb sh#t he does will only impact the next president and they'll get blamed. The same idiots who elected trump, and who continue to yell MAGA at rallies will just elect another Trump... a dumber, more clownish one... They will continue to do so until they feel repercussions for their decisions, repercussions in excess of the joy they seem to get from others being upset that we have an absolute f$$ktard of a clown representing us in the world stage.

Otherwise he'll just say he was pushed out by the "deep state" claim he would have been the best president in the history of everything and his followers will believe him.

hmmmm....so Jamie has also come to the conclusion that there is no doubt Trump is a fool...and Jamie can never be accused of being a "liberal loon"...

I don't think Trump can win a second term, even if he finishes the first, which is not a certainty...he has not expanded his base, and many of the independents who voted for him seem to have concluded he is a fool, judging from his approval/non approval polls...only 35-40% approve of his job as President, while 60% of Americans disapprove of his job...

Interesting though, people identifying with either party are now outnumbered by those claiming to be independent: GOP 22%; Dem 32%; Ind 44%...

Partisan politics may be losing appeal in this country

Our little dmv troll even clarified "The louder and more enraged they become with their TDS...the more I am to support him"... indicating his support is based on what he perceives to be suffering of the group he has identified as "them"

but you'll .try to fit this into your "TDS" philosophy. The difference is what I'm pointing out is an actual study. You've just got your little fantasy.

A study on tribalism.
that you are trying to force fit where it doesn't belong.

He is a breeding ground for the cancer then. Sure, it always existed. And it always will.
There are always going to be people who hate people just for being different. Guys like Trump will always find some audience. I think it was Plato in the Republic who warned Athenians about this specific downside of democracy eg: common men sometimes rise to the top.

But aren't you the guy who is dumbfounded when you hear trumpites say that they're so tribal that they're likely to support him more every time he's attacked? Even when he's being ridiculous. Just out of spite for the other side? How is what you're suggesting any different? You want to teach them a lesson? Good freaking luck. Not happening. Ever.

If I thought Donald's burning bridges and acting stupidly for just more 7 years would cure the Trump base of it's stupidity (and convince Americans of it's horrible choice) I might agree with you but, 30% of the population is incurable.
And I don't want to see the great international/interracial experiment that is the USA destroyed to try to make a point that's unattainable.

I don't "want" to teach them a lesson.
My statement was that if they don't feel the repercussions, we will have another trump.

The quality of candidates is not going to recover from this election without it. The next election will have some other candidate appealing to the group which is trump's base. They will be even more "trumpy". They will also probably win.

We can't afford to hope they feel anything.
Polling shows that Trump is anomaly.
Pretty sure the next crop of hopefuls will be untrumpian.
Politics are shifting.
I sincerely believe mostly good is gonna come out of this nightmare.
If there's one or 2 morons next cycle, God help em.

I'm confident we've learned our lesson. At least 70% of us did.

I dunno. I don't hold anything against folks that voted for Trump. Their other choices were slim with the only other viable winner being hill dog. I get that. I think there are many people that voted for him that don't really support his crap. I get that. I think fewer love him and support his every move like drafter does. I think even fewer yet think like DMV. He's usually my gauge for fringe LOL

How can their feeling the repercussions be worth undoing 100s of years of hard work?
Of establishing good international alliances and a pretty solid democracy?
That's a risk worth taking? Nah.
There'll always be some people who will want a trump. That's inevitable.
Being that they're in the minority, out vote them. Don't throw in the towel.

It's crazy to entertain for a second that we should walk away from what took years of cooperation and brain storming to get. Allow another climate denier after donald to thumb his nose at the most pressing issue of our lives: global warming? So they can feel repercussions?
What about me??

Let shortsighted men like Donald get away with ignorance and arrogance even though it might set us way back and maybe destroy us ?
To cure us of megalomaniacs?
You're half-kidding to make a point, right?

I guess their feeling the repercussions is a lesson they could use but damn, why should I have to be subjected to it too?
I'll say it, again, he's an incredibly unpopular president.
The majority will choose better next go-round . It's just a painful but useful lesson as I see it.

DING DING DING...comes running the CBID Pavlovian weasel. Not dog. A dog is more intelligent than you. It can be taught and wants to be around others. You slither from post to post with your bag of make believe.

"Studies"? Tribalism? You have lost your f'n mind. I stated before it's only a matter of when you snap. You're on your way. The above post proves it. You just make up crap that isn't even there. There is no "Us vs Them" battle moron.

It's you and your merry band of nitwits that feel you have to post up each and every thread with your hatred of the guy that mopped the floor with the Deep State and Hillary Clinton. At each and every turn she and her cronies get exposed for their meddling, lies and obfuscation. Yet, it's all Trump's fault. In the 8 years of the Obama debacle Presidency we NEVER saw him take an entire week to meet with all sides on an important issue. Not once. Here we find a guy that seriously wants to find a solution to a problem and wants it fixed. He's met with his advisors, called in LE experts, met with the grieving families and yes, even called the Dems to the table to find a root fix for the problem plaguing America. Obama sat alone in his echo chamber for 8 years, ripping political foes, giving taxpayer money away, opening the racial divide even wider than it had been in 60 years and beating on LE at each and every step by including himself in every sensational headline. Yet, you and the liberal loons here think it's Trump.

I found it amusing where you have a hard time wrapping your pea brain around a billionaire like Trump taking action on someone but he did! Even when you're confronted with it...you double down on the stupid.

Here...

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/donald-trump-reportedly-stopped-bat-wielding-attacker-1991-article-1.3845008

Look at the actual newspaper article and read all about it. Waaay back in 1991 when he was a Dem no less.

I will most likely vote for Trump based on his accomplishments. Not on your above wild accusations. He is doing what he said he was going to do on the campaign trail. He already has a record of reaching across the aisle to get the Dems to do their job. For the people. Yet, your above post and the rest of whatever you post is about his hair, his clothes, the way he talks...why, is it because you're jealous? Jealous because he's smarter than you? Better looking than you? Has done things with his life, unlike you?

Keep on playing in your make believe world. He's "winning" and you're losing. It's all there for anyone to see. The haters gonna hate.

It's like you responded to a different post.
DMV didn't call everyone who dislikes Trump a liberal loon. He simply made reference to the liberal loons who post here.
Further, DMV provided one reason he would support Trump in the future. He didn't say this decision was based solely on this single point. He merely offered one up because it was relevant to his post.

You sure do read a lot into what other people say and then try to twist it to make some obscure point that doesn't even fit the conversation.

And the best part?
It doesn't matter if your accusations are true or false. Just by jumping to your own conclusions proves that you're either not thinking straight or couldn't comprehend what he said.
We all know you're the smart one here, so it must be the former.
Which indicates ATDS.
That's Acute Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Yes. I'm sure you've grown past your tiny 5'10" and lost tons of weight in the past 8 or 9 years. Because that's what people behind a keyboard always do. I'm sure now you're a 6'2" god amongst men... prolly bench press trucks and run marathons in the same day.

I've seen photos of you from 2017. You look like the same fat little man you looked like in your 2009 photo (seriously... 280? learn to set the sandwich down every now and then).
There is nothing about you that is impressive... other than your self delusion.

So Donald Trump walks into a bar…

1. and denies he ever walked into a bar.

2. orders a drink from the bartender and tells her she would not look like a pig if she lost 20 pounds.

3. says he knows how to drink and drinks only the best drinks.

4.doesn’t want to be braggadocious but he likes his drinks bigly.

5.demands that everyone except the white guys be stopped and frisked.

6. blames Hillary Clinton for the spilled liquor and the crushed peanut shells on the floor.

7. says that his entrance into the bar was the best entrance ever. Ever, ever, ever.

8.requests that all Mexicans leave the bar and then re-enter it legally.

9.runs up a tab and says that he will pay it once the audit of the tab is complete.

10.not sure that he will pay the tab anyway because he didn’t get the service he expected

You do realize it takes me no time to type these responses, right? Ya know, I've never bragged to anyone that I was "in their head" (or any permutation of that).... why would you want to be in someone's head? Do you want me to be thinking about you? Does that somehow validate your tiny, sad existence?

You do realize it takes me no time to type these responses, right? That your "in my skull" is really just momentary diversions from my day.... like virtually going down the street and kicking the homeless person.... it's fun, takes little effort on my part, and a slovenly fat person gets kicked. Win win win.

So on top of stalking people you hold grudges too. Not surprised. You come off like a bully but you're effeminate. Almost like you have to try extra hard to be tough because you're not.

All the time thinking about me...you have to know you're not a blip on my radar. Responding to your ATDS posts are ringing a bell. You are the Pavlovian weasel for all to see. You've shown everyone how low you will go. Really I pity you.

Wash your hands first.

I met victor in Seattle. All he could talk about was DMV. It’s like he’s in Vic’s head and stuff. Skull effing him. Totally in control of him like a puppet master. I guess that’s just the power of DMV.

It was weird.

Bwahahah Well some folks just have that prowess about them and man it is really showing here.

Nah, I don't have time to wash my hands first. I am too old, too tired, and too much of a rebel. fog

Yeah DMV sure thinks he is under Victors skin. Though Victor doesn't seem to think so. I think that is usually the case when one of the two participants is dumb. Anyhow it all is quite entertaining. I don't think either one will quit, and someone acting like a short, fat, fool is good for chuckle. DMV, it sounds like Victor thinks you're dreamy, or so TW says.

If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, smells like and duck and Moo's like a cow.....

It's just a specially trained duck.

Yes, I'm between his ears and I bet he's spitting seething red in the face pissed off ready to kick hobos, boyfriends and dogs!

To even think he's under my skin? Other way around sporto. He's the crying gay Georgetown Rugby player. He even bemoaned about it all here on the site. I don't know, maybe he's soooo into me that he wants me to be gay because he wants to runaway to a tropic island and have drinks with umbrellas that are rainbow colors with me. Take that up with him! One thing I can unequivocally tell anyone reading this, is that while I don't care which way your mop flops it has no bearing on the manner mine does! I don't care. I have family, friends and co-workers that are gay and I love them dearly.

I have NEVER used the internet to scour his name. When he carried on how "dreamy" he was on a post he created on THIS site using his own pic...I admit I did use it as an avatar. waaaay back in 2009 according to him! That has upset him to this day even. He's still not over it. He had to find out what my last name was (because its not posted here!) from someone and then went on a 8 fingered fury to find an arrest record that I'm not too happy about. Why he used the fact that my ex-wife had me arrested...(not convicted though because all charges were dropped if you even care!) to attempt to degrade me in the court system during a divorce. Big swing and a miss by her and for him to think I even care about it now? It's seriously laughable. Who is bringing up the non-topic issues on this thread? Your puppetmaster, Vic. Stay focused about who is trying to take it personal.

Go back and read the post though...Obama sat in an echo chamber talking to himself about any major issue. Take your pick. Trump has reached across the aisle several time already to get things done for America. The foot dragging and non-participation is only hurting the DNC and America. Imagine how much better legislation would be if given a real 2 sided approach? Or don't. Keep on talking about his hair, the way he talks the way SNL portrays him, what the media tells you is important while he stays on this very important topic for more than a week. What other President in the modern age has done that? I like that about him. Sit all parties down, bring in the "experts"...listen to the people it affected and try to reach some common sense compromise. Don't take things out of context like "he wants to grab weapons" when he was clearly talking about that crazy guy in Broward County and those like him where the local and federal authorities have been to the house almost 50 times and he's personally threatened family members and suicide!

I dunno docdude, for years out of the blue you and a few others start up unprovoked assaults on Georgetown and "rubby" and all sorts of stuff aimed at Victor...even when he wasn't involved in the thread.

I often wondered why the obsession. I mean, clearly he likes to annoy and argue and pick apart some posters, but it has appeared some are way more stuck on him than the other way around.

Neither of you can win this if it is a debate, but as an amused reader for a decade, thems the facts.

"I'm in your head"
"No. I'm in YOU'RE head"

This is all very uncomfortable.
And maybe just a little bit arousing.
