Last week, after I flushed the engine, I forgot to lift it and turn the batteries off.

Weeeelllll... one of them is now charging, and when it's done I'll charge the other. Engine will still move up and down, but when I try to start it... 'click'. d'oh!

S'awright... that's why I got the charger.

Outboard engine. Has hydraulics to raise and lower it. Enough power to do that, but not enough to start it.

Me, too... wife is cooking scrambled eggs with onions, tomatoes, and cheese with breakfast sausages.

First battery is fully charged. Charger showed it was at 84%. Second one was at 86%... so I'm a little perplexed at why that wouldn't be enough to start it. Think

I once had a Most Hated list. 7 of them where white. Guess that makes me anti-white. Which is somewhat problematic.

Insure battery terminals are completely clean and cables are tight and secure..

Also, check and insure all fuses are seated provided boats with outboards still use fuses.

Had similar situation happen some years back while on the water in a bass boat. Made a stop to fish a small area and motor would not start but trim would work. Don't recall for sure but it was the fuses or the terminals needed securing. Rough water tends to loosen chit up.

Marine batteries... they sit in holders, enclosed under my center console. Cleanest batteries you'll ever see.

This looks suspiciously like delta1 reeling in another yellowtail. He said it was one of the biggest fish he's landed.

I left the batteries turned on. The gauges drained them, and I needed to charge them. Nothing else was wrong.

It is between Pembroke and Fort Coulonge. My buddy has a cabin essentially right on the Ottawa River on the Ontario side.

Really looking forward to it, I need a break so bad!

Hey all, from an annoyed Oregonian! So, who turned up the Earth Thermostat to Broiling? My guess is Gremlins. Been dealing with those dirty buggers all weekend........ I hate weird problems with machinery. Anyway, hope y’all are enjoying yourselves! I am off to get some rest before I get to go back to the oven I call work.......

Got any favorites? In my book, brandywine are hard to beat... grew a couple brandywine hybrids this year and they're not even close... black krim are another we grow that i love... did a yellow low acid called jubilee this year and its meaty, good sized, and each plant has yielded around 30 really good tomatoes....

Unfortunately, I don't have a vegetable garden so I eat what I can get at the store. They are usually labeled beefsteaks, but they are far from that. The ones the store sells "on the vine" are really no better. Nevertheless, they are better than nothing...

True... even the hothouse hydroponic ones do the trick... but there's nothing like an heirloom that never travels on a vehicle, just garden to plate...

My dad had about 75 tomato plants in his garden when I was a kid. We ingested them. I would pick perfectly ripe off the vine and stand there and eat it the same way I would bite into and eat an apple.
