Went to model train show. No tears, and it was stupid cold in the building, maybe 55 degrees if I'm being generous. Good part of that is no people smell.

Woke up a little grumpy this morning... Kids fighting over who knows what, wife in bed with a cold... Headed to the garage to try and chill out a bit before starting the day... Neighbors are having a party... At 9:30 in the morning... Lots of kids screaming and dogs barking...

Soooooo... I've got Marley on in the backyard for the neighborhood to enjoy and by the time I get to the bottom of this stack o' home grown, there'll be enough smoke in the air for the whole town to get high...

Happy Sunday all...

I'm hoping for a strong and steady nor'easter...if so, I'll go outside in 10 or so hours and take a sniff...

Sleep, soccer, food, soccer, sleep.

Maybe another nap?

Burgers for dinner. Wind really started picking up while I was out grilling. Storms supposed to roll through tonight but looks like they'll just skirt my area and stay mostly north. Chicago and west supposed to get quite a bit of snow. We'll be dealing wtih sleet and winds.

had my neighborhood butcher store cut me a couple ribeyes...... they use a ban saw but for some reason the can't maintain a constant thickness..... If I ask for a 1-1/4" steak I don't want it 1-1/4" on one side and 3/4" on the other..... bassards.. Mad

As per my daughter's request, I took the ham bone from Thanksgiving dinner and made a double batch of Split Pea Soup last night. Chef
This $hit is BEYOND good !

Have a second ham bone that I will make Navy Bean Soup with today.

Wiper motor burned out on my truck. Didn't realize the wipers were on when I started the truck to melt the half inch ice shell coating it.

Went outside to scrape everything off, then got in the truck and the cabin was full of smoke and burned electric motor stank. And the wipers don't work.

Don't feel like working in the cold/wet in the driveway so I called to make an appointment to have someone else work on the truck. Friday's the first opening.... Stuck driving wife's car for a week.

Just tie a rope to them and run it thru the windows... You can operate them as fast or as often as you want... ThumpUp

Salted the driveway to help break up the ice sheet, and then spent a half hour chipping the ice off. It's cold. 25° but windy and windchill of 10°

Driveway's clean now.

Cleared the snow off the cowl cover and hood to try to get at wiper motor myself but got too cold. Too many small parts to work with gloves on and fingers quit working. Inside for some coffee and warm up a bit then I'll head back out there.

Drafter...buy a bone in rib roast...roast the whole thing low and slow, like prime rib...then cut your own steaks...we had one this week-end...turned out better than restaurant prime rib...

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday to spend with family. The jokes, laughter, food, and fellowship with my in-laws is the best. Big Hug

I have not went to the store in 8 years. Now, I just get everyone the exact same thing I got them last year, NOTHING. That way they now have a matching set.
