Morning folks.

We are headed to Minnesota this morning for what was to be visits to the wifey's brothers, and extended familys and to see her 89 year old mom who is in assisted living. Late last night we got a call that her mom had taken a fall and is in the hospital with bleeding on the brain. Doctors are trying to decide if an operation to relieve the pressure would help or not at this point.

Most likely we are headed back to say goodby but may not arrive before she passes.

Hope you get up in time to say goodbye.

So I let puppy-dog out about 5am this morning and smelled smoke... Looked my house over and decided it was coming from down the highway somewheres... As I'm heading out of da hood I see firetrucks blocking my path... It's the beer store/meat market/pizza place up in flames.. total loss... No more easy golfcar trips to get beers and ribeyes... Sad

Brats going on the grill for dinner.

Called work to see if they still needed help tonight. Home unit doesn't, but if I pick up I can work elsewhere.

Nope. It's not even overtime so I'm pouring a beer.

Take it easy on the kids, being Brats is their job....cooking them on the grill, is a bit of a waste considering the time it takes to clean them...Anxious

well,Sarah just got home from the vet, after having surgery on her luxating patella. She's in quite a bit of pain, they have her taking 2 different kinds of pain meds...she's out of it, but still whimpering while she sleeps.

I asked the vet about her pain level, and he said it's about on par with a knee replacement....Damn!!!, now I feel guilty, cause I know how high that pain level is.....I hope this prevents the arthritis they said she would get if it was left untreated...

1st day of summer tomorrow.

Spring planting still not done. Ptetty much all the lical fields are still underwater.

My street's closed because a good portion of it is underwater.

Wearing a jacket because it's 55F outside.

Dug my back yard ditch another 15 feet to get more drainage.

Spending my evening with scotch, a cigar and 200 pages of reading on the sunsetting of LIBOR to gameplan what the bank needs to get started on. My mind will be numb, one way or the other, shortly.
