Trump's failure in the tweet is that he's ill-informed. It's why he needs to put the twitter machine to rest.

If you were forced to name 3 "totally broken and crime infested" places, your top choices would not be populated predominantly by Caucasians.
And don't take this as a challenge. The answer is obvious unless you don't want it to be.

To recap:

He challenged them to stop trying to ruin our country, but to instead show us how it's done by fixing some other hell hole.

A couple of thoughts.

saying ill informed is like saying I am big boned...

the words are chosen very carefully time and again...of course he never says "I am racist" and he very well may not be, but it is undeniable that he does give lots of signals that he is tolerant of those who are racist with these carefully chosen, nuanced-so-close-to -the-right-worded bad phrases. eg: why don't they go back...insert phrase and wink here...from where they came?
Ya really can't get much closer than that to the original!

I don't even believe defenders don't know the real phrase this example mimics. Everyone knows. Let's get real.

He even invited them back...hysterical, and sells well on the secondary market.

supporters have been glossing over similar nonsense from day one in office....

HOWEVER

Clearly many Americans are happy with many things that have resulted directly or indirectly during his term. And at least as many are not.
That's what America is about, that's how it works. A push and pull from side to side over periods of time, you don't always get what you want, and I happen to believe in the long run that is for the greater good.

All this other crap talked about above is his campaign strategy to motivate a segment not normally energized to vote, typically a number significant enough to win elections if pinpointed at the right targets that swing electoral votes. He proved it does not require more of the popular vote to win.

The objection for most who are offended is it is playing with filth and pandering to hatred and anger. Trump only cares that it worked, and believes it will work again. I think he is correct.

Obama was able to energize typical non voters too. A yuuuggge number of them were minorities. Those that hated what he did say he marketed to lazy people seeking free stuff.
Many were offended by that link. Right or wrong, that strategy did not carry over to Clinton and looks to me it will not carry over to the next Dem. To win, one of the two dozen will have to identify some typical non-voters who are feeling unrepresented. I doubt they can pull it off.

I'd say to the Dems, you have 6 years to get it all to swing back...starting NOW.

My vote makes no difference either way in MA so I'm probably going 3rd (or 4th?) party yet again.

I'm not positive because I'm not a scientist like you, but if they're not white today won't they still be not white after they fix their hypothetical country?

Because it's odd that a racist would want them to "come back" if they're still not white.
