I've never minded past vaccines in the slightest - this one not only hurt quite a bit for ....going on four days....but I felt pretty flu-like the day after, as well

Same here. Flulike, sluggishness and five days of arm pain "some pain is experienced at the injection site".

Yep. It was some pain.

Does the shingles injection hurt worse than a flu shot or tetnus shot?

Significantly. Starting the day after.

Got a letter in the mail from the IRS (never a good thing). Supposedly I forgot or they never received/processed my 2017 taxes. After waiting on hold for over an hour I finally get to a human. They say that they are intending to levy my pay until I get it cleared up.

Well, guess this weekend I'll need to dig into my files and find all the tax crap from 2 yrs back.

They say I owe a bit over $2k. Any extra that we raise we can use for some strippers and cigars. Who wants to start the site?

My sister used to work as a waitress in the luxury boxes at Lambeau. At one of the games she served Tipper Gore. Guess she was a total bitch and didn't tip worth a $hit.

Good 'ol Tipper drank down more than one drink that was kindly seasoned with waitress spit by the end of the night.

She had to save her nickels. At one point, the Gore home had the highest electric bill in the state of Tennessee.

Did sis ever mention a great tipper? Who?

Coworker started one for himself after he got hit by a guy who ran a red light. Totaled his truck, but the insurance will cover that. He has no sick time because he always calls in and he's a woe is me beeatch.

Friggin' guy has the balls to go get a new truck and call off for 3 days after the doctor cleared him... says he couldn't get out of bed, but had no issues climbing into and test driving a new truck.

If he's looking for sympathy he can pick up a dictionary and look between sh*t and syphilis.

Dr. appt today. Just a routine physical. Seeing as I just turned 50, I wonder if they'll recommend the tunnel inspection procedure and a shingles shot.

Lots to look forward to in my future.

Good morning, y’all

Had shingles a few years back, very mild case but perhaps because I was in my early 40’s then. Doc advised me to wait until I was post-50 to get the vaccine. Unless I got them again.

I doubt the electric bill thing is true, and here’s why: as someone born and raised in TN (left at age 30), I can tell you that Al and family maintained a residence in TN, but they never really lived there. In fact, our young Al went to school in Washington, DC, I believe. Then Harvard. The only time in his life he spent and meaningful time in Tennessee is while attending Vanderbilt for grad school. And he “withdrew,” which I’m guessing means failed out.

You may be able to tell, but I’m not a fan. Sorry for the political reference, Ram....
