Love the folks in my B&M! Guy I met maybe twice just handed me an LFD Dominican Edition. Anyone had these? How are they?

If you have a spare $2.5m there's an RV I saw on YouTube that has everyone's must haves, plus several not so must haves. Sorry, no link for ya

There's a few in the quarter million range that are perfect for everything I want and need.

I'd rather not go over 30k.

Making pork tacos for dinner. Was gonna try to do it with my instant pot but decided on the cast iron Dutch oven. I know how to make em in there, not so much in the other.

Anyone grow stuff indoors? Opie I'm looking at you.

Wife starts the garden inside and I made an 8 bulb arched crank of fluorescent grow bulbs several years ago. It works ok for starter plants, but when pulling in the potted plants for the winter, they act light starved growing all spindly n stuff. Her birthday coming up, was thinking of redoing her grow space.

Was looking around for a high power light, there's a bunch of 1k-1.5 lights on amazon and I cant tell the difference between them why there's a $100 spread. She's got a sizable succulent collection that lives indoors half the year. But they're visibly stressed, so I'd like to get a new LED grow light. Back in my bachelor days I had a garden with a single 1kw hot bulb and it worked well. But it ate a lot of electricity. Wanting a modern replacement.

I love indoor growing...

If you wanna go high pressure sodium, I have a couple of these that I like:

amazon.com/HydroplanetTM-Fixture-Complete-System-Hydroplanet/dp/B01KMW7RYM

Also a couple of 4 ft. 4 bulb t-5's...

My peppers do well under the t-5's but tomatoes have always struggled so I have to supplement with outdoor time during the day...

Thinking about upgrading to the new led grow lights... reviews thus far are fairly positive... Amazon has tons, but the way the sellers calculate wattage is bs... If you Google it you can figure out what the real output on them is...

Love me some homemade tamales.

Made a pound and a half of chorizo yesterday. It takes 3 days to cure. Doubt it will last that long.

Rope broke on the pulley system I made for the chicken coop door so I replaced that. Had to get inside the filthy coop with all the birds freaking out and flying everywhere flinging poo around.

I actually need to replace a couple pulleys that have worn down their axle so much they no longer turn, which is what killed my rope.

Enjoy your warm spot, currently 22 now, wind chill feels like 13. High of 28, but it's not gonna feel like it at all. Cloudy, but too dry for much more than a few floating flakes of snow.

What part of CA are you?

True, Mark Twain, "The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco."

I remember hitting San Fran when I was with the Buying Group and didn't even think I needed anything but regular shirts, ESPECIALLY not a light jacket! Boy, was I mistaken!!!

Cleared the driveway again.

Chicken in the smoker.

Ate a couple tacos with some of my stupid extract sauces on them. Shouldn't have done that. Two years I've not bought a single bottle of extract sauce, but they last forever cause they kinda suck. Threw one in the trash yesterday. Should probably do the same with rest.

Good afternoon, y’all. Been an eventful few days at the Monkey House. My father took a fall Thursday and broke his left arm and hip. Only 67, so it seems odd. Been at the hospital since then, now trying to get him admitted to rehab. Lots of changes coming out of this after getting into his finances and home situation. Lots of fun.

Sorry to hear about your dad. He is only 67? That makes you what? We will have to start calling you Monkeyboy again. May be good it brought to light other issues? Rehab can be quicker recovery.
