35° here with fluffy yet wet snow. Perfect snow for snowballs.

About 3 inches so far with a another few more inches to fall throughout the day and over night.

Only icy, wet snow is good for snowballs. It hurts more when you throw it and hit someone in the face.

Just watched a rocket launch 50 miles away from Cape Canaveral; due east; and straight down the middle of my street. Scattered clouds blocked the view about 50% of the time. Think I actually heard something, but who knows? Watched boosters fall to finish it off. Overall, only fair, not even good.

That was the SECOND launch TODAY. It is going to eventually be a near daily thing within 5-10! years!

I was in Bradenton for Thanksgiving. Took the 95 to the 4 to the 75, so I prolly passed right by you... twice. But I was with the wife and her friend and had the dog with us, too.

Any time Bro. Maybe we could do Ybor? You could drive to my house and I would drive to Tampa and back. Or, I know a nice beach spot in Palm Coast and also a nice, ginormous cigar store with indoor pool table, a few tv's in different sitting areas, cornhole, etc., all indoors in like a 2,000 sq. ft. lounge. It is in South Daytona Beach...

^That sounds like a plan. Wife and I have already been to Palm Coast. Went to St Augustine for the day with the dog. Walked around, had lunch... went home.

Daytona would have to be an overnighter in a dog friendly hotel.

I wanna play. It's cold up here. I can be there in 16ish hours or so, plus a nap. I'm tired

Guilty. I spent 16 years in RI, 1 year in GA, 3 years in the Philippines, 1 year in Greece, and 31 years in the dumpster fire that is Commiefornia.

I'm not gonna lie... I miss that weather. I miss the fishing. I miss my friends.

I'll get over it.

Every time I’ve moved I always miss stuff. We miss many things about the San Francisco Bay Area right now. Many things we don’t. Texas is growing on us!

I’ve spent half my life in Florida, 1/4 in California divided between San Diego and San Francisco, and 1/4 of my life divided across Italy, Virginia, Alabama, and Colorado!

You are most welcome any time. I am good for ten or so cigars a day. My personal most in one day was 14 at the FGM Herf. Bring it on.

That could work for an easy meet-up for me too. I got a buddy who lives near there and he'd probably join in. He's retired too so any day of the week would work- for any of this. LMK when you are ready.

Then add a...

Forty eight NINE!

Some more snowy and slushy weather on Sat until about noonish. Then it's supposed to end. Good day to do some cooking and some house work intermixed with a nap along the way. Planning on doing a batch of chili and some garlic Parmesan chicken rice recipe that I found on the interwebs.

This thing: https://whatsinthepan.com/chicken-with-garlic-parmesan-rice/

My son (17 yrs old and 4 months away from being a legal adult) wants to do a sleep over at his girlfriends house tomorrow night. I don't know how to play that one. Talked with the girlfriend's mom so we are all on the same page. I guess it will be a go.

Monday is a face to face interview on Monday for an IT job with a contractor that covers the local schools and town municipalities (police, fire, EMT, city halls and stuff). I hope it pans out.

Turned down an offer last week from another place that wanted to bring me in as QC engineer and do Lean Mfg stuff (I love doing lean mfg stuff). The pay was OK with competitive benefits but the commute would suck. I'm so done with wasting 2 or 3 hours of my life every day sitting in a car dealing with commuter traffic.
