Still a little cloudy with a throbbing head, some slight blurred vision and ringing ears 24/7. This morning was the first time in a week where I felt comfortable enough to stand up in the shower rather than sit on one of those handicapped chairs. I felt mostly good during most of the day at work but at the end of the day I was getting kinda dizzy stumbling again. I think it will just have to run it's c ourse and I need to take it easy. Meanwhile I'm trying to hide it and act tough, I can't stand to be bedridden while going though it. Work has been completely supportive and understanding which is a positive.

I didn't realize how much a concussion can drag on or make typical day to day things less easy. My opinion is I should be over it by now. One other problem is that I can't get a good nights sleep. I'm up every hour or so then I screw around for 30 min and try to get back to sleep.

Oh well, just gotta roll with it until it clears up and need to schedule a doctor follow up sometime this week and/or next week. I'm sure I'll survive. One positive is that I have a better understanding and compassion for others that have sustained head injuries.

They are calling for rain over night and on and off the next couple days. I'll prolly be a lazy ass until the end of the week.

I strongly urge you too see a neurologist -STAT!

Concussion/minor brain trauma can have unforeseeable complications down the road and result in permanent injuries/complaints such as your current symptoms.

DO NOT presume that time alone will take care of this. You need evaluation and immediate care. Like TODAY!

I agree. I think this is one of the times you have to ignore the instinct to just rub some dirt on it and move on...

Spent the morning supervising a neighborhood kid who does work around the house for me. Dug up enough sod to plant 13 pieces. Then we cleaned the pool filter. Again, he did all the work. Glad it wasn't me.

He is coming back tomorrow morning to help me clean out our garage, then either Thursday or Friday so I can teach him how to clean windows with a window mop and squeegee (professionally).

Finally bought a new TV for my den from Samsung. 43". Waiting to hear when it is ready at the Best Buy up the road. Herfing

He is going into 8th grade and earns $15/hour cash- rounded up to the next full hour (e.g. 65 minutes = $30).
Those are the child labor laws at my house!

Going to be 96F today. No breeze. Summer is definitely here. ram27bat

Sitting in my neurologist's lobby right now, waiting for my annual appointment. At 9:00am, when I arrived, he wasn't here yet and is already be 30+ minutes behind schedule. Normal for neurology, unfortunately.

Then, going home to meet up with the neighborhood kid who is going to gut and clean-out my entire garage and maybe get a start on cleaning my windows (for the first time in 25 years)!

Thereafter, swim, maybe pick-up my new TV, and then float on a raft in my pool (82-84F water for you northerners) and smoke a cigar or take a nap until I have to pick-up my gimp wife at work to take her home- since she is not able to drive yet.

Hope everyone has a great day!

66 now, 77 later.overcast most of the day.

Dog walked, eggs, hash browns, with spinach, green onions, and a light sprinkle of cheese. Half pot of coffee and breakfast bar all safely into the tummy.

Open afternoon. Perhaps a cigar will fill that void.

Two time zones. The Coasts and Flyover?

Make it noon on both coasts and 1:00 pm on any state not touching the oceans?

I’ve had the Chic Fil a peach shake. Pretty darn good. Prefer the chocolate, but the peach isn’t much behind.

Hi Guys, Today sucked! Started at 5:30 and wrapping up now 12 hours later. My back hurts and I had a planar facetious (deep ass wart) removed from my foot. The doc carved a 1/4 chunk out of me yesterday. Wrapping up the day with an Ashton VSG Corona Gorda I've been saving and Don Julio Reposado with a splash of lime and Grand Marnier and a Tajin rim. I love Tajin. Hope you all had a better day and as good a night.

Once upon a time I spent a summer running a jack hammer lowering catch basins on a highway. I guess today wasn't so bad.

This kind of stuff makes me jealous. In all the time I've owned a house, so since 1987, I have NEVER had a neighborhood kid come over and offer to mow the lawn, or help in the yard, etc. NEVER...

And no, I haven't yelled at them to get off my lawn.

Catalina by boat or plane? I visited once flying out in a seaplane and returned on a ship. Great diving water there.
