286 days gone from home overnight last year, that’s not counting days where I drove however many hours to get home for a weekend with the boy, so it’s well over 300 days worked last year. I’m tired y’all

safe travels to Plowboy and MACS...

finally got some sun today, as it broke thru the clouds for a while...

made a sausage breakfast skillet for lunch...included tater tots, diced onions, sausage, cheddar and eggs ...wife loved it and asked me to make it again sometime soon...

gotta make a list of cigars to take to Kauai, and give it careful consideration...rather than my usual vacation ritual of grabbing a few fivers from different storage containers, and being disappointed with my choices once I get to the destination...

Anticipating the discontinuation of the white owl spam line,
I have set aside numerous tins of old spam containers
filled with white owls fermenting in those heavenly juices.
The desert heat has only served to intensify the mouthwatering fermentation.

PM me. Available for limited requests…

reminds me of the last time I smoked a Garcia y Vega, about 12 years ago...my son, SIL and I were up in the Eastern Sierras, fishing at June Lake. When we stopped into a tackle shop, I saw some "cigars" on display near the register. Having forgotten to pack any, I decided to get a "good" one, a Garcia Y Vega en tubo that was among the priciest among the collection of Phillies, Black and Whites and White Owls.

I fired it up while we were fishing from shore. After the first few draws, I noticed the cigar was getting hot and then to my amazement a red glow appeared on the side of the cigar, about and inch from the top of the head. One more puff and the red glow opened up and began spewing smoke...the carburetor effect prevented me from getting any smoke...maybe a good thing because it was a nasty cigar...chummed it...

Nice Saturday afternoon in north central MA. Temp is around the 70's. It's been a week so far since the little collision. Sure would be nice if I could transplant my head while it healed. Sinuses, eyes, ears and head still exhibit some pressure and cloudiness. Can't sleep much more than an hour at a time. Doc says it could last another week or so and I have to schedule a follow up this coming week.

Picked up the police report and the bike yesterday. It didn't say much other than I smashed into a parked car that was opening their driver's side door. No damage to the bike nor the car, just my cranium (elbow seems to be pretty much healed up with full range of motion). Never thought a concussion would be such a pain in the ass.

Learned my lesson and bought a helmet for future travels and I would encourage others to do the same.

YIKES d'oh! Better buy a generator, had one at the Smoke Ward had electrician install hook up to main breaker box so could run full power in the Ward. Never regretted having this done.

Before I bought my house, the old one would lose power if a squirrel farted. I bought a generator and it got a lot of use. Ended up buying a second one shortly after so I'd have backup - power outage of 3-5 days was at least a twice a year occurrence. Thankfully I did because one threw a rod after running it for a day and a half.

New house is in the middle of 3 substations. The only time we've lost power for a significant time was when a drunk driver took out a pole on my street.

Bought the harbor freight 3500w inverter generator. Super quiet and I thought it would be enough to run the house but it goes into protect mode when the well pump kicks on. I need to buy a bigger one.

I built a cord that I fun from the generator to plug I installed next to the breaker box. Its connected to a 100 amp breaker that's normally off until I plug in the generator. It'll run my heat pump but I didn't need it today. I have a dual fuel furnace so in the winter time there's no issue at all running the house. I even ran a couple 12 gage extension cords over to my MIL's house next door so she could watch tv and stuff... Mellow

Mid 70s today. On the to do list:

Laundry is done, just need to fold and put away.
Empty dishwasher.
Cook up some baby back ribs.
Cook up some chicken cordon bleu, rice and veggies.
Install new radio in son's car and maybe do a quick trip to gather some groceries to snack on at work.

My head is slowly dusting out the clouds. I didn't think it would take this long so I'll still do a couple cat naps. Would like to consolidate 401(k) and Roth accounts from Walmart into my main brokerage but that can wait for another day.

Morning folks.
Start of the work week for me and the guy I'm working with has been asleep for about 2 hours and its hands down the loudest snoring I've ever heard, I work in a seaport and his snoring is actually drowning out the noises outside. What's even better is when he stops breathing and starts again. Part of me wants to wake his ass up and tell him to get some help, the other part figures if he dies, then it will be quiet.
I don't know what to do, maybe I'll think about it over a morning smoke.
