Last time was on my back porch with both your children and my son providing entertainment jumping rope while doing the Moon-Walk backward and forward...

I am definitely free around the 12th.

I PM'd you my cell. Keep in touch when you get here so that we can try to make it happen!

Made it home from Gridlife without any issues.

Ridgeline doesn't do much better on the highway mileage than my normal stop n go commute. Getting 20 daily but only 24mpg over 250 miles at 70mph. Still better than my last 3 trucks and I hauled all the same stuff.

Had a great time. Weird being sober at a music festival kinda felt like a jew on christmas but honestly the only difference was I wasn't up partying till 4-5am, didnt lose things, did a lot more work and did it well, and I woke up feeling fine. Still did stupid stuff, and still had fun at the concert stage and watching drifting when I could.

Best weather we've ever had, best crowd we've ever had, and overall best event we've ever had. Also I may take an actual w2 position next year with the company which means a lot more time on the road, but also means I'll get paid more than just expenses.

Welcome back to Monday fellas.

Took home a free tent from Gridlife - tons of people buy a tent for the event and abandon it afterward. Set it up in the yard, it's 17x10ft and 3 bedroom. The boy and I put air mattresses and stuff out there but it was already down to 50F at 10pm so had to abandon ship. I don't own any sleeping bags and a couple light blankets were'nt gonna cut it.

Lots to do today but it's too damn cold right now. Waiting for it to warm up before I go out.

Lawn mowed, wood stacked, errands ran. One grocery store trip and a few phone calls left to do today. currently on minute 24 on hold with Honda Financial. Its been a month today still havent received anything by mail, just an email from a month ago saying my paperwork would arrive in 2 weeks. I suspect I owe a payment today but I dont even have an account number.

Chores for the day are done but still need to make dinner in a couple hours.

Picked up two sleeping bags that claim a 30F rating so the boy and I are going to reattempt backyard camping again tonight.

Finally got through to Honda financial and got my account number so I could link my account online. First payment was due in 4 days so I'm glad that got taken care of.

Leaving Wednesday. Be there from 10-20 and then drive back. Art is taking me fishing on the 12th and 16th, I think. Will try to carve out some time.

I'm not any better, Rammie... I just enjoy driving. Usually.

Mornin' dudes. Got to get the yard work done, refill the peanuts for Mr. Squirrel, make a Costco run to fill up the gas tank and pack my stuff. Should prolly make a list so I don't forget anything... Think

Since I decided to take the truck I'm bringing my fishing tackle. Art has what we need, but I always prefer to use my own gear. If I lose a jig, it's mine. Ya know?

Morning folks. Not forgetting about D Day June 6th 1944.

Wifey and I have been getting tired of layabout so we decided to take a few days off and visit friends up in the mountains. Little town called Strawberry. Some nice hiking trails and cooler temps await.

Boys go kart broke a while ago. Ripped a jackshaft mount from the engine cradle. I figured I'd weld it and be good. Couldn't get alignment right so it's sat until I had another idea. The part is not available, but I did find one person through reddit who had a batch made and was selling them. ...for $275. F that. Coleman has the part listed for $42 but out of stock no backorder. I spent an hour cutting and welding the broken one and it's close but I fear the thin steel will tear again. So I ordered some square steel tubing and I'm going to make one myself.

6 channel amp in my truck died as I was heading to Michigan last week. Called Crutchfield and they had me redo all the troubleshooting I'd already done. They're sending out a new unit.

Took down the tent from the back yard. Grilled a chicken. Fed n watered the living chickens. Marked two trees I need to cut down. Bought 5lbs of meat to make jerky marinating one more hour before I dry it. Cleaned the inside of my truck, boutta head to the carwash to do the rest.

Got a lot done despite running on minimal crap sleep. Once the jerkys on, I'm hitting the couch for the rest of today. Back to work tomorrow.

I can't stop laughing...

I just got a notification from my kid's pre-school that her group swim lesson today was cancelled due to a "CODE BROWN" incident at the pool prior to the lesson...

They have such an official name for it.

Chocolate bhutlah jerky turned out very spicy. Expected, but cut the dose in half from the last batch that was nearly inedible. It's still hotter than I want but it's alright. Used 1tbsp of chocolate bhutlah sauce in 2lbs meat and 2c jerky marinade

The other 2lbs I used El yucateco black sauce - a smoked habanero sauce. I don't think the sauce is very hot so I put a whole bottle in with the marinade. Just put them on the racks should be done by midnight.
