The body is not designed for it, and it's unhealthy. Did it in the military and in the sheriff's dept. I hate night shift. Always feel tired, even after sleeping.

Mornin' dudes. Coffeed up... need to get to steppin'.

Good luck, Kipp! Catch a big'un!

Dog decided it was too hot for his walk. He did his bidness, walked a little, did some more bidness... then turned back to the house panting.

I went to the gym and ran for 30 minutes. Need to make a Costco run.

After chewing Canadian air for 10 plus hours a day for three days, time to stay mainly indoors.

Maybe a cigar. Herfing

Dang, out of town with the family and there is a wild fire a couple of miles from the house. I think it should stay clear but a bit nerve racking to not be there in case the winds shift it. The camera in the backyard looks normal as of right now...

DED, any sense this is coming into MMR?

Been kinda yucky so far this week weather wise. On and off rain for the past few days. Temps have been OK. The Sun has broken out once and a while and even when the storm clouds were emptying (some cool rainbows). It's rather odd but not unheard of. Weather folks say to expect more like this until late Saturday. Shrug... can't control it so just gotta let it run it's course.

Speaking of running it's course, the concussion brain thing has still not gone away 100%. Previous visit with the Doc says that it's normal based on the injury and my age. Last week had a bit of Vertigo when putting up a smoke detector using a step ladder. I was three steps up on the step ladder and I was looking at the ceiling trying to line it up smoke detector. Then... my eyesight went into tunnel vision, balance went "poof" and my body took a header into a bedroom door frame. Never actually passed out, just went black for a few seconds.

This $hit is getting old and it should be clearing up... it's not going as fast as I want it to.

Re: RAM's watermelon. I love me some watermelon - it's one of my favorite summer fruits. I have one just waiting to be butchered into eating but there's limited space in the fridge since I also bought a bunch of strawberries, cherries, and grapes. The watermelon will have to wait a couple days until those are eaten since they have a shorter shelf life.

Bucky...

Take it E.A.S.Y. BUDDY...
for God's sakes...

Put off dumb projects...shoulda just hammered a tack in wall while standing on ground and hang it up as far as u could reach or wedge it on top of a door jam frame top...using poster stick putty....

When better and healed...hang it right.

I had freakin shingles 3.5 weeks ago...I'm still not 100% at all...
I get tired easy and I put off many tasks...tried to climb steps barefoot up to attic...steps are grooved, 8 grooves on each step...my foot neuropathy ( thanks to my 2 ND covid Pfizer shot gave me that 2 weeks after... I got it outta nowhere...) my feet buckled under the pain from those steps and not being over shingles i was weak still and I just got down quickly after going up 2 steps but 8 more to go...

I said f#ck it...got down , then put on shoes...
Went back up 15 minutes later, no problem...

Was it Eddie Murphy from a SNL skit from the 1980s that said…. The 🧠, is a terrible thing, and must be stopped.. ?

Watermelon is good. My summer fruit is fresh strawberries. The season lasts about four week and it is over.

It's near an area where we hike. Burned about 1500 acres part of which is in the Sonoran Reserve. They got it under control within a few hours. Started by construction workers torching rebar for a house.

It was on the north side of Tom's Thumb and the wind was blowing away to the east so not a problem for your area. Controlled quickly since there are multi-million type houses and horse properties in the area.

My retired dad asked me on Tuesday afternoon while I was sleeping to come over and cut a trench in the yard, then run gas and electric to the pool, chicken coop, and barn. I told him Tuesday night is my last night of work, Weds is shot for sleeping and being out of it but I'd be by on Thursday. He responded on Tuesday that he already rented a trencher and cut the trenches in the 4 hours between sending me a text to come and me waking up.

Shot him a text at 0600 today. He said he finished the whole job yesterday.

Easiest job I've ever been asked to do.

Now I got nothing to do today. Driveway guys are coming tomorrow to tear out/patch/fill and seal my driveway. Gonna take the family to the zoo for the day.

Exchange had 2 bottles of EH Taylor for sale this morning. Gone. They're putting 2 more out at 3pm. I ain't waiting around for that.

The exchange is supposed to be a perk and it has devolved quite a bit. Damn place is more expensive than Total Wine, Costco and some regular liquor stores for some of their booze. The rest of the stuff is like department store prices. Only perk nowadays is no sales tax.
