Just finished a Gispert maduro robusto. Under $3 a a heck of a deal. A Very Good Cigar. Had it with my last remaining Anchor Christmas Ale. Prepped me for a slew of chipotles packed in adobo sauce.

Am I the only one who would cast a vote for the LVH Early Years? Just had a Wavelle Deluxe tonight that was outstanding! And only a couple of months in the humidor. Can't wait to have another.
I'll put this alongside the 5 Vegas Serie A and IT Super Fuerte as great, inexpensive maduro cigars.

The "A" and ITSF are two of my very favs.

One that was suggested here, that I've since tried, that was GREAT, IMHO, was the Sancho Panza!

Nickgonz, the silencio is one nice smoke!

Although my favorite of the line is probably the Wavelle Deluxe.

And golden13, lucky you being close enough to CI to pick up a box of 5 Vegas Serie A. That is a great cigar!

Nice golden. Talk about a great location.
My gf and I just moved in to a new place last month, and now we are 15-20 minutes FURTHER from the local. I had issues with that lol.

Fishing...I am assuming based on the thread...it is the maduro XL you are trying?
Probably a dumb question haha but I figured I'd ask.

Very good smoke, anyone try the Double Corojo version? I have yet to try it...but I'm intrigued.

FGM, Some of the first cigars I bought on CI were Flor de Todo maddies. Not that great at first, but after being in my hummie for a year they are changing for the better. Spicy in the first part and quite smooth with an interesting nutty flavor throughout. I bought some more just to age them since I was running out of the first batch.

For the last couple of years, around late Feb. or early march, I'll invite several buddies up to my cabin (Yazoo Co.) for a little fishing/grilling/drinking/smoking weekend. Mattie B came up last year and of course I will invite him this year. I've got a 15 acre lake on the property (FULL of Bass and Bream and redear) with a nice cabin. I know that's getting close to the "due date", but not too close.

Mini Herf?

Might be possible, would depend more on what the work load is here.

Email me when you get an exact date/weekend.

If that doesn't work out one of these days we are just going to have to pick a day to meet in Jackson.

Oliveros XL Maduro~The first thing I notice was a nice plume on these already aged cigars. I used a v-cut initially and the draw was extremely tight so I had to put a full cut on it to loosen the draw.....but then....BOOM. There's that peppery kick that I enjoy so much! Half way through, I still experienced plenty of flavor and smoke. Very nice stick! WELL worth the $11 I paid for the 5er. I'll buy more~(after I smoke these of course)

Did you pick up any of what I consider to be a sweet ale type of flavor? That is the main thing I remember about the Oliveros..oh and the very excellant burn it had.

As a matter of fact I did, and yes the burn was near perfect. The tight draw was the only negative. It loosened up as I smoked it, but it was tough at first. Overall, that was an excellent smoke!

I'm a HUGE Onyx Reserve fan, but you can get Mayorgas slightly cheaper. So my pick is Mayorga Maduros.

Occidental Reserve. Just because I'm such a thoughtful person, I'm going to bid on all of these maddies that come up for bid, because I don't want anyone to have to smoke these, terrible, nasty, aweful, bad tasting, nobody will like 'em cigars. So don't waste your time. I had my first one today, and I wouldn't recommend them to ANYBODY! So don't bid on these, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(hehehehehe)

I usually don't mess with "cheap" cigars”...you know life is too short and all. Plus, I get a box of cheepies and spend more on distilled water maintaining them than they are worth. That being said I got a small truck load of Centinario Classic Liga B about 18 months ago for less than $1.00 per stick (6 x 54) and right now they could be mistaken for a super premium.
