Too bad Rope... Looking forward to seeing you again...

Good Luck with the upcoming event !!

Low

BTW... I called The Side Bar last night to ask about dress code. In the summer, Dressy shorts and golf shirt are OK. NO sneakers.

Low. Sounds good. I live in CA and was in Morristown, Sparta, Lake Mowhawk, Netcong for the first time last week (wife's 1968 high school reunion) so I won't be back for the herf, unfortunately.

Really, really liked these areas of NJ. Very beautiful in the summer. Have fun :)

JustForFun,

You should have mentioned something. Docrks and HarleyDave live in that area. As for me, I would have driven for a good herf !!

What a Tremendous night this turned out to be !! The venue was awesome (thanks Big Jeff for the great recommendation) and finally getting to actually meet my friends from the Boards was fantastic experience. EI really enjoyed this experience - thanks and best wishes to Lowman, Harley Dave, Big Jeff and PT..............and a special tip of the hat to the drunk who stumbled into our midst and chose to sit with us for about 30 seconds before realizing -even through his drunken haze -- that he was in the WRONG place ----- and kudos to Big Jeff for holding back the urge to clock this poor unfortunate soul........... I'm blaming it on PT -- singing the praises of the Partagas Black so loudly - it drew this boy out of his bottle of Thunderbird and he just had to come over and see what all the fuss was about .
See you guys soon "on the deck" when Ropeman brings the PASS.

Billy -
Even though you did not make that short hop over the Pond to join us in Jersey - be assured that you were fraternally remembered by all there and were with us in Spirit......by the way - the Bill for "Your" share of the drink tab was $28.00

No Problem - Only twenty eight dollars??? That sounds kinda cheap! Will you take a check?

Sure wish that I could have joined you all. Maybe next time.

Had a GREAT time Friday. Thank you to Docrks, Lowman, BigJeff and PeterTyras. You are all extremely generous gentlemen and I look forward to herfing with you all again soon.

We even made a new "friend", Jim. Jim is a very friendly outgoing guy who came very close to ending his night very badly. ;-)

Jeff, awesome place you picked. Nice bartenders, great ambience and the women were AWESOME. (Not that I noticed any of them) ;-)

Billy, even though you were not there in person, you were talked about quite a bit and believe it or not it was all good. :-D

Thanks again all, looking forward to the next one.

Had a great time herfin in Morristown. The place was really nice. I have already had the pleasure of herfing with BigJeff and HarleyDave but added 2 more to my new friends. It was great to finally meet DocRKS and PeterTyras. The evening was perfect... talking about gars, family and cbid... had a lot of laughs.
Smoking list was a Anejo #49 orig. rel., CAO Millennium, Ashton VGS and a ISOM Bolivar petite corona.
Looking forward to getting together again real soon with these guys and hopefully adding a few more !!

Low

PS... Steve didn't show up with the matches, so we had to rub two sticks together to light the gars !!!

Slim... I told the guys you MADE me smoke it !!

It was truley unbelievable !! The cigar burned perfect to the nub. The cigar started out a little medium bodied but built into a nice full bodied smoke. Produced tons of smoke with each puff. The cigar had a faint peppery taste and remained smoooooth till the end.

Thank you for the experience, Slim. Wish there were more to be had so you would be able to enjoy.

Low --- there are still some to be found out there ... the problem is are the holders willing to give them up, and am I willing to pay the asking price.

I've had several different sizes of the original release Anejo over the last few years, just never had the #49. So I know what a wonderful cigar experience I gave up ... but, I still have one original release Anejo #55, that I offered to gift to Chris at the BAD Herf ... but he just couldn't bring himself to take it ...

... he opted for a Shark #77 instead ... ;^)
