Andytv, Do you stop smoking 'gars when you get a cold? Back in the day, I only used to stop the water pipe only when I had bronchitis. As long as i was on antibiotics, like for a sinus infection, nothing EVER stopped me.

me either........but then came the advent of drug testing and all the fun goes to hell.
I guess everyone missed my joke........I thought it was a good one; apparently not.
"Au Jus" sounds like " Achoo!"...........the sneeze noise.
One of my favorites on the buffet line is to ask the guy carving, "What kind of sauce is that?"
"Au Jus"
"Bless you".

I got the joke, I thought the interchange with Country was hillarious too, I just didn't want to spoil the joke if anyone else came along.
Yeah, I do the same thing to my friends (all two of them), waitpersons and buffet line servers too.
"...and the french dip sandwich come with au jus..."
"Gesundheit!"

This is a recipe using hamburger, not a "hamburger" recipe. I have not tried it yet, but am going to make it sometime this week using venison.
This excellent pate can be made successfully from the less tender portions of the animal. Serve it hot with brown mushroom sauce, or cold with bread and butter and a salad.
* 2 pounds coarsely ground venison
* 1 onion, minced
* 2 sprigs parsley, chopped
* grated rind of half a lemon
* 1 egg
* 1/2 teaspoon mace
* salt and freshly grated pepper
* 4 slices bacon
* 1 bay leaf
* 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
* 1/3 cup cider
* 1/2 apple, peeled and chopped
* 1 crushed clove garlic
* 1 jigger applejack
Line an ovenproof loaf pan with the bacon strips and place the bay leaf in the pan. Mix the other ingredients together well with a fork or with your hands. Press firmly into the pan and bake in a 375 degrees F oven for 45 minutes. If the pate is to be served hot, use at once. If it is to be kept to serve cold, remove it to a cool place, and put a brick or other heavy weight on top to pack it firmly."

ground sirloin burgers - add lawyers seasoning, garlic powder, cumin, butter or bacon grease, pepper. Mix in a bowl.
Grill or pan fry.
On the bun, Horse Radish, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, tomato, cheese of choice (aged swiss).
enjoy!

^right..........ain't like a burger is a casserole or something.
One time, my Dad wanted my mother to make him a sandwich.
They were at the beach or someplace with my grandparents.
My dad likes a somewhat elaborate sandwich and he kept pestering her even though she was taking care of us kids or something.
My grandfather said, "You want a sandwich????? Here is a f&cking sandwich".
He took two slices of bread and a slice of meat and put it into my dad's hands.
"There......was that so tough?".
Hahahaha!
