Ok, 300 ish posts and no mention at all of Flor de Cano. So I'll do it. Well made cigar, burns straight, very mellow but flavorful, a little bit of maple syrup sweetness, but not too much. Maybe not a great cigar, but a decent one, and excellent for the pittance they generally cost here.
The Nestor Reserves are ok if you AGE them. This stick is a good example of one that is much better if left to rest. There's another thread about that and I'd make this cigar Exhibit A in defense of aging. 1st one I had a couple of days OTT burned horribly, was quite bitter, next one smoked 6 months later, much better, burned fine, despite the extreme box press. I'm gonna leave the balance of the fiver in the humi for another 6 months before I touch another one.
5 Vegas Series A are good too.
Since some of you mentioned non-cheapo maddies, here's mine, LGC Serie R #5, smoked one a day after I got my 10 pac from Joe Cigar for $39.99 and it was one of the finer smokes I've had in a while. For $4 it was on a par with the really nice Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey short churchill I had while in the Czech Republic on business a couple of months ago.
