None of you have yet to debate the issue at hand

Kerry would abandon terror war
Begin dialogue with regimes, apologize for mistakes by Bush

The Democratic Party's presidential front-runner, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., has pledged that if elected he will abandon the president's war on terror, begin a dialogue with terrorist regimes and apologize for three-and-one-half years of mistakes by the Bush administration.

Cavallo, Sonny_LSU,

Does you admonishment about simple human courtesy and not bringing up graphic concentration camp images in posts on a cigar board also apply to posting graphic images of World Trade Center victims for the purposes of a political agenda? I would think that also to be a blatant purposeful lack of respect to the denizens here.

Just curious.

hockeydad: if it comes to posting a URL and saying "read this" i would hope for the courtesy of a WARNING about what images are displayed there.

if someone goes off on describing the graphic images of that day, i apply the same standard and ask that they refrain. i've not seen this happening, though. i've just seen repetitive graphic images of death camps. but yes, the same standard would apply.

as far as ANYONE using images from the holocaust OR from the tragedy of 911 to make *any* political point -- i do find that to be equally disgusting, yes.

it sickens me to see a political group use those actual images to bash bush.

it sickens me to see a political group use those actual images to support bush -- or to warn that "this will happen again" if anyone besides bush is elected.

the bottom line -- it ain't about politics. it's about using the dead and desecrated bodies of human beings to sell some ideology or candidate. it disgusts me whenever it's done, period. i can't imagine what it would be like to have those images smacked up into your face over and over and over so some jackhole can give the political finger to some other party.

Also Cavallo somebody posted a anti bush post today and used victims from the 9/11 falling out of the towers, but you never said anything about that, that might conflict with your anti-bush views.

And please don’t use that word dago on these boards anymore.

I was laughing my ass off at this thread.. but Hockeydad brought up a good question.. because Daily the liberal media does not fret a bit about showing/talking about our American Service members wounded or killed in action and on and on and on...or when something doesn't go right in Iraq and innocent people get shot or blown up over there... it's plastered on the news to the effects of why are we there??? I'm sick and tired of hearing about the Bull****.. you haven't been there so you really don't know... I've been screaming for Months.. get the media out of there and let our folks get the job at hand completed...

as far as Kerry and the original thread... he's a peice of ****... and yes the Democratic Agenda is to sell this Country OUT!!!!!! Marshal Law and it would have been if someone couldn't have counted the votes correctly 500 times over again!!!!!

God Made Damn Sure that GEEK Al Gore did not get in office to claim Marshal Law!!!!! it wasn't time Yet!!!

this Country is going through some of the Bigest History of all right now and we are all living in it...

we kicked the hell out of the British who are now are Allies... then came WWII and Japan.. and we stomped their ass after Pearl Harbor... and then these little pesky ass Terrorists.. they bit off more then they can chew.. not even having their own governement and after Iraq fell so fast even Quadafi had to clean his shorts.. Kim Ja Song or whatever his name is in North Korea is sweating because the cross eyed **** knows with Bush in Office he cannot shake rattle and roll his Saber and make threats.. somebody cooled his heels.. it could have been China who knows... all I know is we have Inspectors over there now and diplomatically solving the issue in NK... Possibly saving 10s of 1000s of lives... and I'll be cocky here... Saved on their Side... because our United States Fighting men and women would Crush that little lilly pad faster then we took Iraq.... then where???

France to remove our dead from that peice of **** country!!!!! the land there was tainted after the actions of their leadership....

Kerry with words he's using like in this post... is History!!!! what an ass.....

just my .02cents

My work here is done.

One interesting point, however....Nobody has debated GTO's original statement. I'm not really prepared to myself. I haven't quite been able to nail this Kerry guy down yet but I still like him because he played hockey.

All I know is he has stated that the international coalition in Iraq is illegitimate and fraudulent. The coalition contains over half of the G7 nations and over half of the NATO nations but is fraudulent in his opinion. In Kosovo in 1997, we had a coalition half the size as what we have in Iraq and he defended it as legitimate in the Boston Globe. He voted against the first war with Iraq in 1991, in favor of bombing Iraq in 1998, in favor of the use of force for the current war but yet is against the war now. It is a little slippery.

It would seem that if elected President, he'll half to answer to the fraudulent members of the coalition. These fraudulent members would be considered by many to be our closest allies.

i didn't mention the 911 thread because i didn't see anything in it DESCRIBING IN WORDS IN THE POST the graphics of that day. i was given a CHOICE to either go to the site or not. after reading the comments on it, i chose not to go look at it -- i feel no need to go to a site showing carnage of that day for anyone's political purposes.

but again, i was given a choice. i wasn't reading a thread only to come across those images or the in-depth graphic description of them. if that had been the case, then i would have been all over that, too.

65, if it offends you for me to use the term "dago" (which i, as an italian, use amiably and frequently) then i'll refrain from using it.

see how easy that can be? :)

....guys, I usually try and poke holes in people's statements by finding contradictions and inconsistencies. Hockey, I actually am not personally offended by 65's graphic, but let's not try to compare 9-11 to the holocost. 6 million people were murdered.....that's 6 million (6,000,000), guys, not 3 thousand (3,000). 9-11 will go down as the darkest (or one of the darkest) hour in our country's history, but it was not methodically murdering (or performing experiments with) men, women, and CHILDREN.

See, when I poke at you guys (hard-line, Bush-loving, conservative, Republicans, etc.) I am fully aware you will NEVER be detered, much less have a change of heart. Rather, it only strengthens your conviction. Your arguments that Kerry will sell this country out to the Nazi Dog, terrorists of the world is absolutely ridiculous. Its called diplomacy, something GW has completely destroyed.....now, hold on. Going after Osama in Afganistan was totally justified as is taking a much harder stance on terrorism, but pinning our ears back and bullying (militarily or economically) every nation in the world is NOT.

This "Let's kick some ass!" attitude is actually not a good position to stay in......I am for flexing a little muscle just not rubbing the dork's face in the sand.

And, you are sooo correct in us not taking issue with 65's question.......and, honestly, some of Kerry's statements (I did read the article) are troubling as I don't see a need to apologize at this point. Also, I would be very careful to take EVERY vietnam vet's opinion as your own, for I have known several completely worthless people (criminally-minded) that are vietnam vets. My point, I don't necessarily listen to members of Rolling Thunder and adopt their statements as dogma.

In closing, I am rarely ever going to make a personal jab at any of you, so do realize, I don't go into any post with that in mind. But, 65, you seem to be disturbed......... ;)

So Sonny it's okay to turn your back on government sanctioned rape rooms? They're uncovering more and more mass graves in Iraq everyday. Soon the "genocide" nameplate will be placed on Saddam's actions once Bosnia is through with it. Rwaanda...I don't even want to talk about the collevtive back turning the world let happen.

Likening 9-11 to the holocaust is linkable. Both were fanatical actions carried out by ruthless military leaders. I'm not willing to say that certain parties didn't suffer enough or pay a lower price. Mass killing is exactly what it is. Don't try to cheapen it with politics. It's demeaning to the people that actually were touched by the events.
