Beta, here is my advice to you since it worked for me and still works even though I am out of school...

Host a card game. You’re in college so there has to be 3000 guys at that school who think they should be on the WPT. Host a Hold'em game with 20 guys. Have them Buy in for $50, you take 10% off the top for hosting it. That is an easy $100. Or you can have a limit game like $2-$4 and charge each player $2-$3 per hour for the right to play at your "newly formed casino." It is easy money. You have 2 weeks so you can easily host 5 games. More than enough. You have to know a bunch of guys. Try to get the rich kids who are bankrolled by their parents.

I have a game every Thursday night. It started out with 6 guys and is now up to 25. We use our local Sons of Italy Club. It is a $100 buy in. $100 goes to the club for hosting it, $200 goes towards a tab that we start for the players to drink, I get a $100 and a free entry for organizing it. This is the sort of thing you have to do. Trust me. Just don't get caught. But if you are a JR, you should be out of the dorms already.

he's damn right (except i'm not gonna blow off class)...i've got the rest of my life to work. when else in your life can you take a week off to just hang out with your buddies, *carefree*, and have a blast....probably NOT very often (if ever).

Yeah, I saw that show. That was the one where they advertised that that BEN guy was in it and he was only in it for about 3 minutes I think.

But that is the way to go. I am telling you. Especially with the popularity of Hold'em rising. That crap is going to be on network TV soon. You will get a lot of "Fish" at those games trying to be one of their favorite players. I bet right now that you can wheel off 20 guys who would play. Just sit back and skim the pot. You dont even have to play.
