This is kind of a continuation of my prior post, but wanted to take on all these people and their statements about the risks involved with smoking. heg, did you know only 10 to 15% of even cigarette smokers develop cancer, so I don't even buy your thought that one cigar a day will likely lead to throat or mouth cancer, and if I inhaled, which I don't I would not consider it likely to get lung cancer either. I am not going to 2 -3 a week, one cigar a day, and I challenge anyone to find me any objecitive medical report that has linked one cigar a day to health problems, the best I have seen that they could do were for a person smoking three cigars a day and inhaling. I think a person's diet is much more important and more of a concern than a cigar a day. Also in Greece, the population has one of the highest rates of cigarette smoking in the world, and also one of the lowest rates of lung cancer, but also their population eats the highest rate of fruit, diet folks, that is key. Why in the past did the Japanese live longer but are heavy smokers? Until lately on the whole their diet was very healthy, but in recent years their diet has changed for the worse, and cancer is becoming much more common there. Obesity was eventually pass smoking as the leading cause of death in this country, a medical report last week had it very close. I would suggest more deaths could be attributed to obesity as often a fat person that smokes and has a heart attack may have his death attributed to smoking. If you are in your 30's and way overweight, I would suggest you smoke all the cigars you want, for your weight and diet will kill you before the cigars have a chance to do any damage. Personally I need to lose about 20 pounds to be at my optimal weight and eat better!
