I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

I'll take that as a compliment. I did found a professional business fraternity at my school (an accomplishment I'm proud of), I've already brought in speakers such as the co-founder of Summit Entertainment who recently sold his company to Lions Gate for 420mm, and the captain of the worlds most decorated battle ship in the Pacific fleet.

I'm not a talker, I'm a person of action. Ideas or worthless without action, and nothings impossible.

But it is entertaining to read the responses on this political board. Herfing

You're still a college kid. That means you're a talker even though you may have ambition to be a person of action.

I wish you much success in your future endeavors, Skippy.
Now leave us oldsters alone. We've got a world to muck up, er, mortgage to pay, and you need the spare bedrooms in our homes.

While true to some extent, I think there are far more college educated elitists that automatically dismiss those who didn't attend post-high school institutions.

Maybe my opinion is skewed from living in the Northeast my whole life, but I constantly hear/see this type of snobbery but the college-student bashing is an infrequent oddity.

To the OP:
Don't get pigeon-holed into a "political philosophy" so early in the game. A philosophy becomes a hindrance to growth because you strive to live by the philosophy rather than letting your philosophy become shaped by your experiences. It's like putting the proverbial Cart before the Horse.

That, plus the fact that every college student is a liberal freak. Don't think that being "right" of the other freaks makes you a conservative or a republican. Everything is relative. Just like incest. Ask TW if you don't believe me.

Man, I miss college.
Are the bands Squeeze and the Violent Femmes still doing the circuit?

OK.
But, I thought it was clear it is alright around her to switch from Paul in favor of Romney.

Interestingly, I have noticed that too in Northeasterners here who live here in Orlando.

Nope. Mittens is the same as the Big O. Paul is 100% right and only right. If you would just start thinking you would realize that all this man's thoughts should become your own.

hmmm, where to start haha?

Your right about caffeine for breakfast haha.

And I go to a Catholic school, Loyola Marymount, not exactly a political battle ground. (there are a couple femmes, and no they don't have boyfriends).

Shorting the market does not create a drop in the market, just capitalizes on downturns.

And being conservative doesn't mean being totally closed minded to logical ideas from ANY party. That's called being "ignorant"

And if being to young is an excuse to insult my intelligence, perhaps you should toss your PC or Mac away, as they were both started by college students. (guess that means those were pretty bad ideas due to their age)

Lastly, I think you guys are great haha! and I would rather speak on no other board than here! thank you for all the posts.

One more thing, I was raised only by my father, a middle school drop-out. He worked in construction all of his life busting his a$$ until he passed a couple yrs ago. I was lucky enough to move in with a family member rent free (still pay all my other expenses). Trust me, I do not think I am better than any one who is not college educated. I had more respect for my father than any human being on this earth. Only reason I have made it this far in life was by following his instructions and wisdom.

Thanks for the bootstrap story you're the forums new R posterboy.

I'm from a small town, my dad impregnated a carney and I was left at the door of baptist church where I was raised as a poor black child. Later I discover the fruit of Micelium and tripped my way intoit a catholic nuns school. Though cross dressing came naturally to me I really appreciated the men leaving me alone. I left the school to persue my real dream of becoming a political advisor.

But like all dreams mine was crushed when Jack Conrad was forced to run on the fourth party ticket.
