Meh, I considered it a very zen experience, to argue with an idiot without actually reading a word he typed. If it actually looked like an argument then I must have done it right. :)

Interesting – An unexpected perspective. If fairness; Buddha sat before a wall, and when he arose he was enlightened.

Rearing the OP; Science has always been viewed as an opposition to the comfortable beliefs that people have. Copernucus differed with churches beliefs about the Earth being the center of the universe and was exiled as a heretic.

Friedrich Nietzsche taught us that if there were no god, it would be necessary to create him. Ernest Becker greatly expanded on this to its conclusion – yet it is not common or desirable knowledge for most.

It is a peculiarity of us, that when we are presented with the terms of our existence we look at it the way a cow looks at an oncoming train.

Maybe people can only learn so fast. Two steps forward, one step back.

Buddha, Nietzsche, and Becker were not scientists.

A Chinese couple are in bed. The man says, " I want 69." The woman says," You want beef and broccoli?"

HD, I’m impressed with the speed with which you blew past the point. No speed bumps of logic slow you down!

As to your fantastic clarity of thought; Becker was a scientist – a cultural anthropologist. Ever tried Wikipedia?

Kinda redundant if you aks me. The FDA & CDC are already doing their best to dumb it down with plenty of junk research.
