don't forget wikiarms.com and ammoengine.com also

Thanks!

Also, the Internet Movie Firearms Database is handy for when you can't tell what firearm was used in a movie, TV show, video game, and so on...

It goes for around $20/ 100 around here...I'll check a local Wally World and see if they can beat that price.

Remember you are going to have to put out a lot of rounds.
Very accurately. Heads shots only or you are just wasting ammo and those calibers are over kill.
Ill take my MP 22 or any good grade 22 that accepts magazines that you can get lots of.
High grade removable optics, swap out with a red dot for close in.

Okay an AR for when I am in lots of danger against non zombies.

AK-47 without a doubt. Its WAY more reliable than an AR. With all the blood and guts from the zombies getting all over your weapon, you need something that is much less likely to jam. AK-47 is one of the most reliable rifles I've ever seen. You can dip it mud and pull it out and it will fire just the same as before you did it.

Truth be told, if you stay alive long enough to "find" a real battle rifle in the carnage, whether it be a beat to crap M4, AK47 or AK74, that prized $2000 match semi auto sporting rifle will be dumped on the side of the road.

If we're talking zombies, how in the hell is a .22, or even a .223 gonna do a damned thing? You'd have to pith the brainstem with every shot, so basically hit a nickle sized target on a shuffling or running corpse.

A nice ball and rod round of 7.62x39mm is going to explode zombie heads, even if you just nick them, particularly at distance when the round is tumbling.

Give me a baseball bat any day. I like the visceral feel.

True. There's nothing quite like the satisfying solid 'thunk' of a Louisville slugger on a zombie head. Beer
