We were driving back from Yellowstone yesterday, and on the way through Glendive MT, we saw what looked to be a really nice dinosaur museum. Daughter loves museums, so we pulled in.
It was an awesome building with some really cool pieces in the lobby. Went to pay, and the guy behind the counter launches into his spiel about how they are a dinosaur museum with a biblical take on things and they wanted to put dinosaurs in the context of the bible. Daughter was already too excited to leave, so I sighed and paid.
What a load of crap. They had a ton of cool pieces, including actual fossils and a dig they were working on. Unfortunately, their take was that evolution was made up, the earth was only thousands of years old, and that dinosaurs and man lived side by side, and that Noah took baby dinosaurs on the ark, since they took up less room. It was too much for me to bear (I am a biologist by education, and I can't say that I believe in god).
I will be the first to admit that modern science has not explained everything. I don't believe that hyping creationism by blatantly distorting the truth about evolution and other proven process is the right way to go though.
