I'd rather we just let a couple thousand get killed every few years and not have TSA and homeland security.
We are a very large country. 2k is almost nothing. We kill more than that ourselves.
I don't see anywhere where you included your family members.....but once I did your lacies got all bunched up. So one is left to understand that your okay with a couple thousand American lives being lost as long as it's no one you know or are related to. I understand the written word just fine, I also recognize a self centered ****** when I see one.
I'm curious though, how do "we" kill more than that ourselves? ... you are the absolute only person who made the assumption that I was not including the entirety of the american population when I said "couple thousand americans".... I suppose that would be a fair assumption if I were a first generation immigrant, but as it stands, you made an assumption that I wasn't including myself and my family as at the same amount of risk as anyone else. Your assumption was wrong, and you seem to be unwilling to understand that.
As for "we kill more than that ourselves"... are you serious? Do you think 2k deaths is significant?
We have an average of 3500 people drowning per year. You don't see a Department of Water Safety checking your butthole for beer before letting you on the lage.
We have approximately 30,000 in traffic deaths annually. Are you searched before getting into your car every morning?
We literally had 40K suicides a year. That is LITERALLY us killing ourselves.
There are 27,000 accidental fall deaths annually.
There are 36,000 accidental poisoning deaths annually.
And these are just ACCIDENTAL deaths, not crime related at all. Do you grasp at all how odd your fear is, and how illogical it is for you to be willing to give up all your freedoms just to have someone tell you they're keeping you from being one of those 2k people? You have a better chance of falling and dying. Or dying in a car wreck.
