OK, so at least we know they have long enough deeks that they can be stepped on! Clearly they are more manly, and I mean that as a joke and comment on their marketing.

Interesting comment about collusion with the Democrats, Gene. I postulated recently that Trump was actually a secret double agent for the Dems...there may truly be truth in jest.

No attack, believe what you want, but a lot of folks here talk about not liking either party, but savage the Liberals exclusively. Just a wee bit disingenuous in the name of being "open minded".

As much as there has been to complain about Obama (I know people think I am but I am not a devotee), I have not been compelled yet to abandon course and change to a helter skelter direction navigated by the GOP. No matter who gets credit, business is booming, housing is booming, people willing to work can if they try, stocks are scary but even with big dips are way ahead of several years ago, the world is scary but ya got to admit there's far less war involving us currently...all while the GOP tried to make Dems unelectable as their solitary contribution to a better world. But open eyes can see improvements in the American Condition, unbelievable as it may be!

They may have assured 4 or 8 more years of whatever we have now. So far, I am less scared of that road as I head into retirement in a few short years. And my kids futures all look better than when President Cheney left office.

GOP, you have to beat that, and I am willing to listen, but stop with the Trump noise already. He doesn't really want all that responsibility, he's just using you. He won't use me.

Not using this to support a candidate at all, Paul. I would if I had one. But here's your chance to sell the positives of someone from the GOP...my vote is available. I've heard 8 years of tear down, obstruction, sky is falling. What are the fresh ideas from the right. Is it simply "we don't have any leadership, but hey! We aren't the left"? Or more meaningless Trump catch phrases?

an aside to your previous post, my Boston Globe today says Obama proposes admitting 10K Syrians, not 75K. I'm sure most are against any, but that's a significantly different number.

My understanding is Obama wants to bring 75,000 IIRC here. Have read where they're finding Pakistani ID's and or passports at some of these border crossings that have been discarded, so we / they will NOT really know just who's using this tragedy as a disguise to leave their chitholes.

I don't know where you get your information, but you really need to find better or more accurate sources.

Frank, I think one of THE major positives would be that we'd get a Leader who does not / will not use RACE as a determining factor in so many social policies to bring about social chaos and unrest in so many cities across this nation, not to mention his ability to Shun Law Enforcement and always immediately cover for the perp and throw them ( LEO's ) under the bus. One fine example of his divisiveness is playing out in Baltimore where a clearly racist Mayor took it upon herself to award Blood Money to Grey's family BEFORE the trial has even taken place!!! Why??? Well because they're trying to set a precident of extortion ( pay up or we'll burn it down ) guilty or not. This is what we received in the form of Hope and Change......Yay

Those numbers were used, then reworded to " well those numbers represent immigration from All countries cuz well that's what they like to do....deal in the Grey areas. And of course the door ( pardon the pun ) was left open to say " in the event of an emergency the President could increase those numbers " Who's emergency the Dems or the migrants???? Some food for thought :

LGBT that wasn't a positive. It was a thinly veiled negative thus making the point without knowing it.

That the Republican party has wasted the last decade, and their present group of candidates are not inspiring, though I feel the same way about the Democratic party candidates.

It's ok to be against some things, but to be against everything with no ideas of your own is worse than the guy doing something you don't like.

If you can't say this is what I am for and thus is what I'm going to do then you are worthless. Reagan was very posative. He stood for something. Like him or hate him no one in this race emulates him while they all try to invoke his name.

If your only bright spot is you are not the other guy you have already lost.

Sanders is for things and stands for things. I admire him for that. But, I'd never vote for him.

Maybe that's the lesson. The folks that actually stand for something get torn down by the leaches.

Frank you really trust a stock market bolstered by the fed throwing billions of imaginary money at the market?

I'm for "less" period. Less spending, less debt, less intrusion into our daily lives, etc. The government os not the solution to all our problems, in particular, passing more laws. Two great examples, the war on drugs and the war on poverty. Well intended ideas that turned into self serving government juggernauts that grow and grow and do less and less to solve the problems they were created to solve.

I do agree on Reagan, leadership is a critical function of the POTUS. I didn't agree with everything he said or his DOJ shenanigans, but he knew how to inspire and lead.

Perhaps you should hire an astrologist too.

Ha! Wasn't that Nancy Reagan's mumbo jumbo? I don't buy into the horoscope thing, though all the Scorpios people I know are very similar, coincidence no doubt.

Actually there were schedule changes based on astrology and who knows when in the second term Nancy took over. Did you know they believed in UFOs too ?

Meh, UFOs should exist, but I'm a skeptic and any intelligent life is likely to avoid our planet. OTOH, believing in horoscopes is not exactly dangerous, but pretty nutty.

Trust? Nope. But it sort of feels similar to betting on sports that may be fixed, or betting on a fixed race at the track...I still have about the same chance picking a winner.

Well, sort of kidding with that analogy, but it seems that there is always a new single thing threatening the market, be it China, Greece, interest rates...no single thing has caused the end of the world I have been promised here since I was a little lurker. Lots of forces in play, and confidence is growing in dribs and drabs, much to the dismay of our membership.

Plus, I am not a day trader, I am not much of a risk taker in my early 60's (mentally about 40) I do get advice...and if it all blows up, everyone is equally screwed.

I wonder what the market graph would look like if you looked at it over the last 100 years or so.
