Trump kinda proves, so far, that those standards have some value...but he shocked everybody when he won...maybe he can rise from his current place and prove capable of MAGA...at least 70% of his party still believe in him...he's got 3 years to prove the doubters wrong before the cycle to choose our next President starts...
This absolutely ridiculous.
The President he replaced:
.......... was no more an expert in his chosen field than Trump was in his.
.......... had scant experience as an elected office holder
.......... was known to be very tempermental
.......... made some pisspoor judgements
.......... yet he won't produce his long form birth certificate (not that it matters, for that matter neither do tax returns IMO)
.......... "If you like your Doctor, you can keep him"
.......... but he sure hung around some controversial people. Pardoned a few as well.
Perhaps history is a good teacher. I recall Bill Clinton had a really rough start until he brought in Leon Panetta. Trump has a new Chief of Staff and he ditched Bannon. I'll predict that the kinks start to work themselves out and the Donald quits being the Donald. Time will tell.
