Don't get me wrong.....I love cigar bid....will continue to be a loyal customer. I admit I am a dinosaur when it comes to new technology. I just don't like the new format. Just saying......

They changed formats?? Guess I missed it. You're like the only one I've seen complain about it.

Unlike so many sheep I've seen on this post, I too, really think the new format stinks. Apparently, there are too many that are afraid to speak their minds here, but companies need to know they've screwed the pooch - and no better way to let them know than to lay it out here in the open. I've seen others try to distract from this OPOS by trying to press down anyone that dares to point out yet another failing of CBid/ CI. While they could be a fabulous cigar site on both fronts, they seem to be locked into a leadership that can't quite figure out how to compete in the online business. Go try Cigar - if you feel this is a better arena to buy from, so be it - but several times I have placed orders from both - CI/ CBid first, and the order arrives 2 -3 day before CI/ Cbid. I have yet to experience the opposite. And guess what - in each order, was free shipping! All I want is to be able to scroll through each company's offering without hassle, and this latest CBid website change was a move in the opposite direction. If you remember the inventory issue they put us through about a year ago - surely you all remember - they didn't know what got ordered, who ordered what, or where or when your order was - I spoke with their CS people and they were in tears with desperation Well, apparently they put that genius individual in charge of redesigning their website, and once again - he came through in spades - and posted a big fat 0! I haven't ordered from CBid since, have still stayed with CI as long as I can clearly find what I'm looking for, but don't forget there are alternatives out these (See above) that know how to deliver cigars in an unobtrusive manner.

It's not as user-friendly as the previous one .... I've been around since the first iteration and have lived through all of the changes ... this is the first in which functionality has gone downhill ... I too will be sticking around for as long as I'm around, but will be having to work a bit harder at navigating the available auctions ...

Don't get me wrong - I'm a 5-6 stick smoker a day and I need deals! I'll seek out a deal anywhere I can, but CBid/ CI has pissed me off more time than I can remember. I just want a straight-up deal I can count on, know when it's going to arrive, and I'll pick through the crap as best I can and do business when and where I get what I need. Right now, I' blown away with service - it's what I've asking from CBid/CI for years, and I'm getting most of it with free shipping. I don't care who or where others buy from - go for it - but this layout change made it a big game changer for me!

24132413 (he stutters) has already told us that the new format is working perfectly - tell him (PM is good) if there's any problems.

not sheep, your preaching to the choirBrick wall ........no one here can help you no matter how much you bitch and moan
Brick wall .....take your outrage and whining to customer service, and maybe if your nice they'll listen and help you out, if your not nice, well they'll still probably be nice to you cause that's what they do.......unlike most of us here who do not have to listen to you cry like a baby with a chitty diaper because my paycheck does not require me to be nice to you.......I can tell you to STFU and I won't lose my job over it.....
So, if your gonna whine like a mewling little bitch then STFU.......if you have some constructive criticism then call CS and nicely offer your vast expertise towards fixing the problems.......if not then ,once again, STFU........I ,for one, am sick of listening to the bitchingBrick wall .........no one here can help you, listening to you bitch and moan are problems that can only be addressed by those above my paygradeBrick wall Brick wall Brick wall
Thanks for your attentionBeer

Oh, but you are a sheep! Either, you work for CBid/ CI, or you've just deluding yourself into thinking things will work themselves out on their own - but this is the best format for laying out the dirty laundry. You have the freedom to move on to other topics, or you can stay here and spout your pap. I think most of us have nicely voiced our disgust with CS, one time or another - they can't do a thing about it and I have no problem with them - they are helpless to affect any meaningful change. I don't care what your job is, how it affects you, all I can say is, my money is moving away to businesses that aren't out touch with their clientele, If you and others of your ilk have no desire to improve the offerings and service of this company, then let it be - go back to grazing on what's offered to you, and shade your precious eyes from what that offends you....and, oh, thank you for your attention. And stick your funny, little emoticons somewhere they will brighten someone else's world - the real world works in words, not simpleton gestures. Have a beer...and a good cigar!

The new layout seems to be made for the visually impaired and everything is too big for 20/20 vision, it's awkward to use and has made data hard to get, and they took away the awesome comments section when bidding. It just sucks.

Get on their list - great deals. And no, I have no connection with , CBid, or CI - just someone jonesing for a good cigar. Just another source. Maybe competition will make CBID/ CI just that much better![/quote]

Did I mention that you listed a competitor reference too, including the website? Either way, we'll see if you're just an idiot or a corporate idiot.

I'd be pissed if I lived in Minnesota too. To dam cold there. Dude I get your frustration. Since they are nice enough to provide this fun forum for all it is reasonable for them to not allow competitor references. In that regard why not take the high road?

Try the "" place...

A lot of people that are here on the forums actually shop for cigars elsewhere.

I'll agree! But cold makes us tough, resistant to a lot of crap - but it is frigging cold...for too long! My only point is let's not gloss over the main point - or at least have an honest discussion over whether this new format makes sense...and don't tell me to complain to CS - they're impotent, but I like them, but like most CS, they have no manner of impacting business practices, even though they have a better feel for how their customers' perceive things far more than most upper management will ever have. But I'll Be cool - made my point and hopefully the oblivious management will actually spend more than a moment reading what's on their blogs - I can only hope!

Honestly, I doubt they read any of this. After last year's mess you would think this update would have been completely about consumer satisfaction.

After last years debacle, I would hope they would have reshuffled their management... they really need to look at some successful websites and evaluate where they're at.....or they will be taken over by someone who does! I hold no animus against them - just been putting up with their crap too long. There are great websites out there - of all sizes - they need to wake up!

It sucks, they put it up too soon without beta testing. A number of previous options (which I used) on the old site don't exist. If they respond to the users, it'll morph toward the old site.

New formats for websites annoy a lot of people because they don't like changes. In CBIDs case, many fall into that category, but the new format left out many things that the old format had. There seems to be an obsession for new and more eye pleasing formats, but they neglect to consider the user. The new CBID format is messy, confusing and annoying. If they don't fix it quickly it will drive people to look for other options to buy cigars.

Put me down for one that also doesn’t like the new format. Big part I dislike is the closing soon is not limited to bids ending that evening only.

To put all your eggs in one basket is nuts anyhow. In other words, Do you shop solely at Walmart? I do not and never have. I do not shop at one B&M in my local area. I shop at many and the ones that stay on my list of frequent stops is the ones that earn my business and keep it.

I love Cbid and I love the ladies that I work with on occasion and they have earned my frequent stops, but to say Cbid is the only place I shop Nope and never will unless all other places do me wrong. I would like to assume that Cbid would not expect you or anyone else to shop solely with them and them alone?

I guess what I am saying is this change should not drive the people to look for other options, The people should already have that drive to start with and already shop at other options no matter how great or poor they feel a company is. It's just common sense in my book.

Besides, this company was/is just a shell of its former self even before this latest "upgrade". Just goes to show you that, if given the chance, a couple of guys who care can out perform a large corporation any day. (And still are...) These new owners (shareholders) are too high up in their ivory towers to even see, or care, how the changes affect people. They will only care when they aren't turning a profit, and maybe not even then.

Definitely not a fan of this new format and I've spent thousands and that's no joke. CI can look up my account they'll see. I'm not leaving just yet cause today I'm bidding but if I continue to not like it I'm gone. FIRE WHO EVER THOUGHT TO CHANGE IT. :(

Once you select the "Ending soon" category, just sort it by "Ending soon" again, it will sort the auction endings, from soonest to latest.

We may not like the new layout, but I bet Cbid does. The winning bid prices have gone up quite a bit it seems to me. All those cell phone bidders listening to hard rock music and bad mouthin' their country...

Look at Mr. Helpful...

If the tech challenged can't figure it out on their own, maybe this whole net thing isn't really for them...
