It makes no sense at all, I agree, but partisan as she is, she has managed to get possibly more across-the-aisle cooperation on issues than just about anyone else from either party. Several GOP Senators and Reps have even praised her. Public persona is one thing but the real work gets done out of the lime light.
My main concern is all the undoing of consumer protections relating to the Big Financial Establishment Swamp.
Frank, her "bi-partisan" relationships are a one way street.
Her voting record is perhaps the most liberal in the Senate. I think only Markey might be to the left of her. That's not meeting across the aisle. It's merely convincing others to see your side. She should be given credit for doing so, but it shouldn't be painted with a bipartisan slant.
Truth be told, some of her bills are good ones, and deserve support from both parties.
But her voting record is entirely partisan. And her obstructionism cannot be overlooked.
In all reality, her soothing voice might be her best attribute...
