Yep. I used to love smoked salmon and it's my wife's favorite fish. We bought a really nice sized full filet. I mixed up my signature brine and put the fish in it, covered it up and stuck it in the fridge. I pulled it out to warm before going on the smoker, and voila'. Biology lab with all these little wormie things egressing. d'oh!

My wife will still eat that crap though. Go figure.

That was my last salmon experience. Done with that. Speak to the hand

if we want to fish on the ocean, the stamp for the license is an additional fee, as is the second pole stamp

didn't have any worm issues with the salmon we caught in the waters off the northeast coast of Vancouver Island in Canada

Second pole I always do... Only did the ocean enhancement once, when I fished Catalina... Not required for morro...

Maybe it's the cold water up there?

I posted a link here once to a story on a Fresno guy with a 10 foot tapeworm that came from eating salmon sashimi...
