I never ate enough “loaded” or flavored bagels to have a preferred type, spread and / or topping. When I used to play tennis 5 - 6 days a week, I often ate a plain bagel or two a day. Would take them with me to work and, depending on what time I was gonna play, eat one in the morning and one after lunch. Every so often I would get cinnamon bagels for more taste and sugar. Amazingly, despite all the carbs I was eating, still lost weight during the tennis season(s). Guess I didn’t drink enough beer after my workouts. 🍺
