Fresh cut pine. The sap helps holds your cigars in place

Not all cedar is created equal.
There is no cedar equity.

Spanish Cedar is the only cedar for cigars.

"Spanish Cedar can be found throughout northern South America from North Mexico to Paraguay and many of the islands of the Caribbean." I'd suggest that the availability of Spanish Cedar in the cigar making areas of the world probably has a great deal to do with its use. Had it grown only in Canada and Russia, chances are cigars would be in boxes and wrappers of some other species. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. For the short time cigars are in the box before they go into your humidor, I'd suggest those boxes are more for show, unless you have a very large humidor or Humidor room where you can store your smokes in the boxes. However I've been wrong before.
