Wait a minute, delta gets to gorge himself on a Fuente / Padrón sale, and whatever else until the end of April, then the iron clad commitment starts? d'oh! Shame on you

Yup.

But hey, you could declare an ironclad non-buying hiatus resolution too! When do you think you’re gonna start? Think

pickings of the Fuentes are pretty slim...most of what I wanted are gone...grabbed a few Padrons...enough to fill what little space that's available....last purchase until April 30, 2024

The hard part is crafting up the right language to allow you to win the pool after the entries have been closed. Might hafta ask the resident English major to help.

Robert (rfenst) could probably draft an official contract and/or set of rules with a bunch of lawyer mumbo jumbo complete with some loop holes that are sketchy enough and up for interpretation by either party's legal representation. This is what lawyers do to ensure job security.

P.S. SOB... you missed a nine...

Damn you DED, mad me look, and they had the excellent price on the Illusione Garagiste again, and your Curivari Buenaventura BV560, so...guess what made it into the checkout? This after stocking back up Arganosa Rare Leaf the other day on one of their super-secret in cart sales. I have a problem, half my storage is just 2 gallon ziplocks with Bovedas as it is.....

d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

dammit...I pulled the trigger between the low price periods...missed it by "that much"...and to make it worse, the tenski place also charges the CA tax...not all internet vendors do...

I need a proxy buyer who can get the cigars I want at the lowest price possible, for a reasonable fee...I am spending way too much money...and time...prowling the internet for cigars...

Found out just now but Tenski place has a quick 21% off on Padrons that's gonna end in a couple of hours.

Might pick up some Exclusivos (...GREAT name for a cigar!...) in Natural. Think

Edit: New buying hiatus reset. d'oh!

Conan! Thank you. But you don't understand what you're doing to me. The seductive temptation to buy stuff that I have no where to put ... The allure of the forbidden. It's too much.

I have a 58 that I haven't smoked yet. Got it at a shop recently and am letting it rest. I often like short belicosos like that. I went ahead and bought a 5ver of those and the 52s. Guess I'll get some 44s at another site and pay for shipping. Angry

I know a shop that sells some of these, gonna see if they ever get the 858s.

The others just seem too big. Gonna compare these in side by side taste testing.

Also going to make an iron-clad resolution not to buy any more cigars for the rest of May. That's realistic, and if I can't do it, we'll know that I need intervention.

“Hi. My name is Al and I haven’t bought a cigar in 7 days.” Applause

However, my research is limited so mebbe the overall IR is a bit longer? Think

my last purchase was on April 17, 2023, when I picked up some Padron 1926s and 1964s from the tenski place because some enabler blabbed about the deal

F*#king enabler! ram27bat

Okay, 13 Purchase-free days in April + 7 days in May = 20 PFD total.

WTG Al! Applause

I found the R44s at a good price and pulled the trigger. So, my iron clad resolution lasted about 33 hours.

But, now I'm set. No more cigars for the rest of May. Iron. Clad.

And I mean it this time.

Not a bad deal at $5.60-ish each. It’s been said by a few that letting them nap for a couple years does wonders for them.

remember the cartoons from the 50's and 60's, where the main character, someone like Bugs Bunny or Elmer Fudd, is faced with a dilemma?

on one shoulder sits an angel, whispering good wholesome advice...

on the opposite shoulder, whispering dangerous and destructive advice is the devil...I am picturing Izon in this role...

this ironclad resolution/buying hiatus is giving me a chance to liquidate /incinerate some of my cache of cigars...hopefully in a year, my inventory will be more manageable and I can eliminate some plastic storage bins...I'm guessing that I have between 2,000 to 2,300 cigars, with many 10 years and older...I bought a buncha boxes in those early years from 2011-2013, and when I smoked through half a box, I'd empty the rest into storage trays that I kept in a roomy end table humidor...

I may even start a spreadsheet to list each cigar and it's current location...this activity will fill the time spent and replace the activity of researching and searching for the best deals to buy cigars.
