Thankful for a good two hours with mom and a great visit with my favorite aunt yesterday. Thankful Auntie’s recovery from hip replacement surgery and the unexpected, advanced level of care her husband is providing for her.
Highlight of yesterday was the investment of time walking through my son’s forest. He was my parents first grandchild, and as a tribute, my dad planted two acres of small pine trees. They grow between one and two feet each year, so they are now 30 to 40 feet tall.
My son is in school three hours away, and we do see him about once every three months. His forest is the place for me to be with him when I can’t be with him.
Thanks again, Dad. You left a wonderful legacy.
