He said in my interview that there would be plentiful overtime.
Tomorrow's schedule is stacked deep, so probably more OT tomorrow.
Losing all my differential pay works out to about a 15% pay cut, so I need to do 10% OT every week to make up for it at time and a half. Just 4 hours per week. Got 3 today.
First day was rough coming straight off nights and flipping to days. Last night I was asleep by 2200 and woke up before my alarm around 6. It's gonna take a while for my body to get used to standing all day. My back has not been happy. Doesn't help wearing 20lbs of lead in the room. At first it doesn't feel like much but after a few hours I notice I'm slouching and my back is hurting. I used to wonder why everyone waited until the last minute to put it on and took it off right as soon as the radiation source was turned off. Now I get it. Theres a lot of things I didn't understand about how and why they do things the way they do that I'm understanding already.
My brain is still looking for time off. Hopefully I can retrain myself to work every day like everyone else. I did it until 2015 and it took a while to get used to week on week off. It'll take a while to get used to only weekends off. Hell, from 03-12 I worked 7 days a week. Just gotta get used to it.
