4950 - Mix 5 in a small apple briar --- cleaned it afterward for the first time in a year or so. Can't wait till I smoke it again now that it's been cleaned.

4 was 3parts Virginia Gold Black Cav. and 2 parts Lane BCA
5 is 2 parts Virginia Gold Black Cav and 1 part Lane BCA

So both are mixes of Black Cav with the BCA being mildness and Va Gold being stronger. Still haven't found the best mix - maybe 6 will be it.

4955~ C&D Small Batch Carolina Red Flake (2021)

A bit heavier on the perique than I anticipated, tasty Virginias but they aren’t outstanding. That being said it’s a fine blend, the tin was nicely bulged and let out a hiss when opened. Great nose. Look forward to how this tin does, new Savinelli pipe my brother got me did well.

I like some heavy perique. Haven't tried Carolina Red Flake.
I do have C&D Bayou Morning.
Hearth & Home Signature Louisiana Red is good too.

I feel like I can only do pipes or cigars. Never been able to do both. When I get into pipe smoking, I lose interest in cigars and vice versa

Same here, Danm. And I inhale a lot more when I smoke my corn cob. I’ve learned how to smoke my cigars, as of late, w/o inhaling much at all.

I've always smoked both sometimes heavily on one or the other. Cigars are my heavy choice right now, but the pipe is handy for a quick smoke in a small bowl.

I like the quick aspect also Tony. Honestly I can have a pipe with half a bowl from a month ago and it’s still not awful to pick up and take a few puffs or finish
