I agree but dont forget its a team sport. Farve is awesome but cant do it alone. Gannon is awesome too. But without Rice,Brown,Porter & especially our offencive line which is awesome, Its hard to be a great QB. Mag

Charlie I agree with your point that rivalries change the game & make it more competitive even if the won/loss records are different. I hope the chiefs put up a good fight against the Raiders. It makes victory that much sweeter for who ever wins it. I think the Raiders offence is one of the most potent when they are in sync. Penalties hurt us though. Get rid of the penalties and not to many teams can beat the Raiders. On defence we need charles woodson to stay healthy. He seems to get hurt easily lately. Im keeping my fingers crossed. Go Raiders!! Mag

Making his team great, is what makes a QB great. For example, McNabb. The eagles have a talented team, yes. However, they lack the big names such as Rice, Brown, etc. But the greatness of McNabb forces the others to step up and play at his level.

When it comes down to the playoffs...records mean nothing. Who has how many 1000 yard games? Who's thrown for 300 yards how many times in a season? Who cares. Who wins when it counts? That's all that matters.

Let's stop this trash talking until we have some reason to talk. It's only a few weeks away. Then we can make fun of the Raiders for falling apart again :) Woooo!

i.am.steve, Boy you sure seem to be all hyped up about my post. What trash talking? Facts talking is what it is not speculation. I never said that that made a difference in the playoffs. And one other thing. You couldnt have picked a worse example of Mcnabb. who hasnt played for 2 weeks and they havent lost so dont say he is the reason.A 3rd stringer won it for them this week. That means his teamates are stepping up and taking care of business. Mello out dude. You remind me of me when I get a little excited. Mag

I am joking Magnafide. Sorry if you took it the wrong way. I am neither excited nor upset. I am having a good time on the forum, as should you.

And by the way...McNabb tore teams up on his own while he was playing. His running game was unstoppable. I mean come on now, the man played an entire game on a broken ankle and you couldn't stop him. He was/is a GREAT example.

And yes, his team has stepped it up.

i.am.steve. Hey its sometimes hard for me to tell who is just having fun & who is just starting an argument just for the sake of arguing. I appreciate you posting your intentions. I just wanna have fun too! McNabb did show great guts playing hurt. I think you underestimate the rest of your team though. Your team hasnt skipped a beat even without McNabb.A buddy of mine is a big eagles fan and told me that your 3rd stringer is better than Depner! Good Luck. Mag

McNabb is the man. I followed him through all four years at the 'CUSE and he dazzled me then and he continues to dazzle me now. I knew Philly would come to love DNabb he has a great work ethic and he loves the game. I had the pleasure to attend some Orange (Syracuse) practices and he would just go off. I do agree that how McNabb goes so goe the Eagles but as long as the back-ups play within their own game and the defense plays as good as they are they will continue to win. People doubted Koy Detmer, I know his size is a facture but he's got a lot of heart and he his a decent QB. At Colorado I think he lost maybe 4 games in his 2 years of starting QB. He was probably the best passing QB in Colorado history. McNabb is the best QB in SU history. He is the MAN. But then what do I know, when I talk smack it's not football or NFL related.

For all of you to know...Donovan McNabb is a product of Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago and greww up in the South suburbs of Chicago. He's a Chicago boy and the Eagles are lucky to have him. The Bears had a shot at him in the draft but chose to trade down in the draft to take Cade McNown. What a waste and they are still paying for that mistake to this day! Go Bears(someday!)

I am SO PROUD you approve of my last comment..I've finally made it. Now if you'd like to talk football I'm here for you (just to let you in on a little secret I go beyond the NFL..I even know college football and high school football including recruiting (but let's keep that between us)).

I enjoy sports of most types at all levels ... I'm typically more into the game itself and other than my college Alma Mater, am not particularly wrapped up in any one team ...

There are, however, two teams that I take great pleasure in seeing lose ... anytime, to anyone ... I simply cannot stand the Dallas Cowboys and a team in any sport from BYU

Are you the UTE? I hate BYU as well ever since they were awarded the National title in 1984 or 1985 (not too certain of the year) I've disliked them I felt they didn't deserve it there were other teams that played more difficult schedules with one loss that deserved it like Michigan for example.

All this "I hate" and "can't stand" talk is really quite alarming!@??

Why cannot we all be friends! Sing "Kumbaya My Lord" and preach love and friendship!!!! Sounds like I live in Berkeley CA doesn't it? Well, I do not live in Berkeley, and I too hate the Cowboys, not so much the fact that they are the Dallas Cowboys, because they were my "other" team before Jerry Jones! I hate, hate hate Jerry Jones-self centered prick that he is! And the way he fired Tom Landry when he bought the team!

Now, being a KC Chiefs fan, I do have this little tiny bit of hatred for the Raiders and Al Davis; however, that is due to the intense history of the rivalary! THE BEST AND MOST INTENSE RIVALARY IN PRO SPORTS! I can still visualize the illegal spear or hit that Ben Davidson put on Len Dawson in Kansas City in old Memorial Stadium! That was one of the logs tossed into the fire that is Oakland vs Kansas City!

Or as Ben Soebel (Billy Crystal) would say, "such intense hatred and inner feelings............."

Let's get ready to Rumble! Go Chiefs!

cashman ... I am, in fact, a UTE !!

Charlie ... "hate" is a word with lots of ugly ramifications, so I won't use that word but will say that I DETEST the Dallas Cowboys, BYU Cougars and now that you mention it, the Berkeley mentality/outlook ...
