C-Bid cust serv is the best!! Contact them thru the "login" menu... They will take care of you.

Mold or Plume???

Never had a problem with mold. If it is mold, I'm sure they will take care of it.
Rare occurence...

First ... just look at the bottom of the CB home page, and you will see 'Contact Customer Service'. They will be able to field your questions and concerns better than anyone here on the forums. Their CS is outstanding, and the best I've ever seen ...

Second ... I have yet (in three years or longer) to see a single cigar sent from CI/CB to me with any mold on them (although I have received several shipments that were too dry) ... of course, there is always a first time for anything.

Make sure that what you are looking at is mold, and not bloom/plume!

The latter is a very good thing, and is a whitish powder/crystals that is easily brushed off. That is just and normal part of the aging process, and are the oils coming out of the cigar. That is an indication that they have been aged properly and that they are well taken care of.

Mold is usually bluish/greenish looking (sometimes can be white), and is usually fuzzy/hairy looking. They will also smell musty ...

Yes, what was the offending cigar???? So if it's ploom we may bid on it, and mold so we may not.

the moldies were mayorga robs... just to double check i pulled out a whole box of erdm rob largas and they were glistening with white crystals. ive had these for about 16 months --- the mayorgas however were fluffy and furry. This makes me hesitant about bidding again.... jer

hummm, I've had mayorgas before and they're great smokes. I wouldn't be shy on these. Get CBID to go through their stock perhaps. Or check their supplier. They'll fix your problem.

jerjoe --- for criminy sake ... don't be an alarmist!

Once in awhile, as with all things in life, something will go wrong ... Murphy's Law.

This is not at all the norm for this great company.

Very rarely do these boards ever hear of any complaints, and when they do, you hear of nothing but praise of how well CB's CS had taken care of it.

... like the others here have already said, call customer service, and if they don't take care of it to your satisfaction ... I'll double what you paid for the box of cigars.

Hey Jerjoe,
Trish and Steve, at customer support will do their level best to make you happy. I know, they have taken care of me. I have only had 1 real problem, and a bunch of questions, and they have always come through for me.

P.S. Say thanks to Steve and Trish, They don't hear it enough.
