Uncle Tupelo - March 16-20 1992 on now, my first listen

won't be my last.

just another of the reasons I hang out here even though it seems like it would not be a good fit...I wouldn't learn nor grow if I only hung out with people already just like me.

Started the morning with coffee and XM/Siruis 40s station. Then slipped into Alt. Nation and XMU live from Coachella. Classic vinyl to round out the day.
TIP - buy a used XM/Sirius radio and you can get 5 months for $25. Then you have to call and haggle every 5 months but it's worth it. I wouldn't pay more than that.

grew up with 40's playing in the house.
happened to hear In The Mood while in a store this afternoon.

Sounds like my everyday playlist - minus the classic vinyl, which is more guitar oriented than I like. My iPod covers the late 20's through this year. From Bing Crosby to The Byrds to Buffett to Ludakris with a large dose of 50's and 60's jazz (Miles, Coltrane, etc).

I liked that one too...based off that I went back and listened to "Camouflage". A really good release and having Jeff Beck aboard for a few of the songs helped too!

there was a period that he was best known for, but he cranked out a number of albums of excellent stuff that weren't even hits, per se.
