jeremy, pm me what you got and i have a few that i can send your way to try. got a couple stronger blends, like you i lean towards stronger cigars as i find them more flavorful. haven't found that to be the case with pipe baccy but i can let you try some without you having to buy a tin.

get a tamping tool-i use a jc white ss carriage bolt that i sharpened on the thread point, fill pipe packing lightly, tamp lightly as she burns down, refill another pipe and repeat

Dave sent me a tamping tool with his "care package"

Found when I was cleaning the pipe that I didnt take the filter outd'oh!

Hoping that taking that out wiill help with the next one. .

Try that pur semois. Its very dry so hard to pack too tight. Burns cool. I use my finger to tamp it it burns so cool
