Her dad would walk behind the dug out and also scream at the girls for chanting etc. One night (after a whisky tasting) I confronted him and told him to never talk to the girls like that again. He got really quiet and sat down. A few parents clapped and thanked me after the game (and since have become friends) and I haven't seen any ofthe family since. I felt sort of bad. Even when the other parents thanked me I felt bad and told them so. i try to keep my mouth shut and not get involved ![Mellow](/mobile/forum/Images/Emoticons/msp_mellow.gif) |

Is it any wonder why Democrats are against anything that would reduce their power? Yet, they blame Republicans for ruining schools and people actually believe what they say. This is the appalling truth. |

Heard another good point on this today.
One county in NE Sip has 5 high schools.
Of this five, one campus graduated 12 this year. Another graduated less than 30.
Yet Dems aren't willing to consolidate Keep in mind, these campuses still require all the staff and other expenses.
Such a waste |

My solution would be charter schools. If kids don't perform or attend, kick them out to the public school system. Our district has what they call the alternative school. This is a campus for those with disciplinary issues They get the attention they need and remove them from those who are willing to act right.
Kids need to learn there are consequences for action, or rewards. I think that lesson has been lost.
That's because they give EVERYONE a Blue Ribbon just for "participating" nowadays.............Kids never learn that there are "winners and losers" at everything. If you don't win the game,no matter what that "game" might be, you lose and do not get a ribbon. Next time prepare more and work harder and you may get the prize for being the best. The way things are now, kids are happy to settle for 2nd best because, "Hey I got a Trophy or Ribbon"........... |
