Seasoned with kosher salt, fresh cracked pepper and a bit of cumin. Carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic... in a nice gravy made with beef stock, a splash of red wine, tomato paste, woostahshire sauce and a bit of corn starch. Dinner gon' be gooder'n a backseat bj. Well... maybe not that good. My fellow Sgt's and I are cooking burgers and sausages for the team on Monday in honor of Veteran's day. 2 of us are vets and a few guys on the team are, too. |

I'm not a fan of beef in general except when it's thin sliced and heavily seasoned on french bread at Portillos. But I figured I'd give it a try for $2/lb. Turned out really good. Probably Should be wrapped it halfway, the bark is pretty hard. But I shredded it and gonna use for sammiches later. |

I take chuck throw it in the crockpot with a jar of peppercinis (pick your heat level), some chopped garlic and some fine diced onion and let it go on low all day. Come home, stuff it in a roll of your choice and love life. Good stuff. |

Smoked beef with garlic sauce on a pretzel roll.
