went to Pho 89 tonight.
Shoulda gone to the Viet place we usually go to but someone else picked the restaurant tonight.
I ordered an extra extra dry vodka martini (kangaroo) to start...got a dirty martini. Waitress (who made the drink) said she assumed I meant extra vermouth. I explained why that was wrong, and pointed out that she didn't do that anyway, she poured the liquid from the jar of olives when I didn't even ask for olives...she giggled. We loved her. She made the next one perfectly and it was huge...as was her tip.
still good but not as good as we are used to having. Though ya always get great flavors for short money at Vietnamese restaurants. |

I could see the smoke from Rt 30, about 2 miles north of my house.  |
