Might head back up to the mountains again... I wanna hike further down the creek I hiked yesterday... I know there are small golden trout in there and I'd like to get into some of them... Better wear armor and have an ambulance standing by. |

Update on the dead battery:
My Honda CR-V is less than two years old and less than 17K miles but the battery died over the holiday weekend. Had AAA jump it and I replaced it at AutoZone total $187.
Today I went in to the service dept and bitched enough that they contacted Honda American service center. They opened a case number and asked me to send in a copy of the invoice via email which I did. They said prolly no cash but maybe a loyalty card or something for compensation. Waiting for their review.

^I understand that batteries are consumables... and Phoenix is hot... but 2 years? C'mon, man. A battery should be good for 4 in a new car. Got running boards being delivered today, a 7500# tow hitch coming tomorrow. Window tint and LineX bedliner and she'll be complete. White truck, black liner and running boards, kinda gives it a storm trooper feel. |

Ordered my dad a pork chop toolbox for fathers day. This one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Lund-54-in-Diamond-Plate-Aluminum-Wheel-Well-Truck-Tool-Box-8227/202202228
Biggest pile of chit excuse for a toolbox I've ever seen. Stupid flimsy, and the "latch" is barely held on with one screw just in tension, not even anchored to the post so if you tug on the handle it just falls apart.
Arrived yesterday and went back to Home Depot this morning.
He usually puts a tonneau cover on his trucks, so had to get something the cover can go over, but didn't want a top open type that the cover would have to be folded up to access.
Found this and ordered it instead: https://realtruck.com/p/undercover-swing-case-truck-bed-toolbox/v/chevy/silverado-2500/2019/ Even more practical as it can swing out over the tailgate to access the full box. |
