I'm thinking I may have had too much to drink tonight. I'm gonna go to bed before I say anything I will regret in the morning.

Looking at a nice 69 day here. Just waiting for sunrise to get in a 5 miler. We would normally be headed for the Phoenix Open that starts today and ends Super Bowl Sunday but instead of 200K fans each day there will only be 5K allowed.

Have a good Thursday folks.

Probably just a bruise. But possibly. Can't afford to get a CT, so no sense in going to the Dr.

Meh, I broke my coccyx snowboarding when I was 17... didn't even find out until over a year later.... uncomfortable but one of the easier ones to deal with...
425. Author: SunoverbeachDate: Thu, 2/4/2021, 10:11AM EST
That's'cause we're stupid as kids. Broke an ankle once and played three more innings and worked for three more days before they finally convinced me to see a doctor. Swore it was just sprained
426. Author: opelmanta1900Date: Thu, 2/4/2021, 10:45AM EST
True, I'd cry like a baby if it happened nowadays... i eventually quit snowboarding to avoid further injuries and started fishing full time... and it was 10 years later while fishing that i shattered my ankle into a million little pieces and had to get helicoptered to an ambulance... 27 years old was apparently too old for me to tough things out anymore...

In 2000 I got an ankle surgically repaired. After pre op X-ray and ct doc asked when I broke my leg. Didn’t realize I had. Thinking back it was an injury I played through my senior year of high school and freshman year of college.

Looked like a bad break that healed funky.

Prolly most of us have had some kind of break that we were not aware of as kids.

One of mine was a stress fracture and a bone spur on one heel that I ran a marathon with. Hurt like hell but I had put in 3 months of training before the race and was not about to waste it. Didn't find out about the fracture until I went in for pre op X-rays to have the bone spur ground down.

I was 41 at the time but still thought I was a kid.

How the F is it that you work for a hospital that provides such terrible health insurance and medical care benefits? Is it a private "for profit" hospital or is it a "not for profit?

Ol Tank ran around the park with his buddy Sammy this morning. Then we took a short ride to Dripping Springs Campground for a nature walk. Not one single camper in the whole place.

He walked off leash the whole time and we didn't see a soul until we were on our way out and almost back to the truck.

Just the way it is. I dunno.

Very few diabetic people working there cause of how poorly drugs are covered, or even approved so if they need insulin they go work at the other hospital system.

Is the hospital plan self funded Dan?

By the way ACA leans more toward fuller benefits than less. one of the major complaints was the elimination of largely worthless plans. Fun to complain about both sides of it when only one could be legitimately true. But this is the wrong forum
