in the handful of threads talking about the real lunatic fringe of the right, there has been almost no one leaning right willing to either support NOR condemn it...

it's always deflected to someone they dislike on the left...like there aren't a zillion threads on that already.

To compare the q and nazi (and other) theories that ooze murderous thoughts to unappealing and rude politics on the left to avoid facing the filth being spewed is disgraceful. This is not saying Left good, right bad. But it is calling out the silence and deflection.

One can be a conservative without fear of being linked to these ghastly theories simply by acknowledging they exist...shouldn't take an act of courage to denounce these things.

the GOP is willing to normalize white supremacy, promote radical conspiracy theories and accept the advocation, by some of their members, of violence to eliminate political opponents...

where have you gone, the party of family values and Law and Order?

This is just so wrong, it's like Trump, Bush, Cheney, etc, was never ever called a nazi. Something that as a follower of history I have posted. As bad as the left thinks things are/were, it's NOTHING like what the nazies did.

The only "fear" of a conservative is the lefty mindset that loves to vilify anyone that opposes them or doesn't agree 100% See post number 8.

If someone is indeed a "lunatic" a very prejudicial term, do you seriously believe they are going to have a balances POV? You're creating a straw man to burn in effigy.

Gene, when was the last time that the nation's Capitol was stormed and ransacked in order to prevent a lawful democratic process? by whom?

GOP has to own it, then denounce it...as it appeared it would do in the immediate aftermath...

but a couple weeks later...not no more...

criticizing those on the left who are calling that behavior out because it is abnormal and shouldn't become routine in American politics is giving it your approval...

I am not expecting lockstep mindset and hope for no political opposition...I think we are better when each side can openly and honestly work to achieve their goals...but doing so with threats to kill and actual violence against political opposition should never be acceptable in a civil democracy...

so you won't address these individuals directly either?

are you not seeing the quotes and actions of the people being discussed? Being discussed by some in this thread but not by you and other cons? No thoughts to share on Greene et al without the but this but that?

I honestly know nothing about this Green person. Google says she is a lunatic Not my circus, not my monkey. If you seriously believe she represents republicans, conservatives or libertarians you have a bigger problem.

No, I'm not going to go into crying apology every time you don't like some one or something. Especially when you paint republicans, conservatives or libertarians with a broad brush. There is so much BS flying over the internet, from politicians and from the media I figure most of what you read or hear is propaganda, but, if someone committed a crime, I hope they get arrested and convicted in a court of law, not the court of opinion. If they say bad things, stop listening to them, if they are elected, don't vote for them.

It is a colossal mistake to ignore history.

What "filthy movement"? I know anti semitism is rearing it's ugly head again. Look at Biden's, IMO, mistreatment of Israel in his first week, lumping them with and aiding the PLO terrorists.

Anybody that denounces Nazism would have to be anti-socialist, but the Nazis are an embarrassment to the socialist left, so the left has tried to distance themselves from the Nazis by stealthily turning them by propaganda into right-wingers. Likewise they've tried to distance themselves from murderous Communist regimes by claiming they are into not-real-socialism. .

Green is a Republican congresswoman. That’s not deniable.

She is a Q supporter. Or maybe better way to say it is qanon supporter.

Qanon supports/supported trump and it’s presence could be seen big time at any trump rally.

Trump claimed to know nothing about them other than they really like him. That seems to be the play. Don’t know much about them.

Q has whacked out theories that I believe started as a joke but morons bought it and ran with it. All the pedo stuf, sex abuse, deep state, child killers, etc that even shows up here is a result directly or indirectly.

Qanon sad craziness builds off age old anti Semitic tropes among other things.

They pushed that trump was their savior that would weed out, arrest and execute all the enemies (largely democrats) during the storm. Trump purposely or not dovetailed with their message of the election being stolen and the whole stop the steal thing. On purpose or not they heard it as a call to arms. Not just the pure direct qanon supporters but also those influenced by them without knowing the source. They migrated from 4chan and 8chan to Facebook Twitter and more main stream platforms a few years ago and immediately had an impact on not direct followers that want to believe that tripe. And no that doesn’t mean all trump supporters. . Get over that nonsense. But it does capitalize on drain the swamp.

Green is a qanon supporter and hasn’t hid it until lately. She is a Republican and was elected. She is now on an important committee and is a mainstream Republican until mainstream republicans say or do something different.

And AOC is a nut job and doesn’t change any of that. I believe she smears the dems rather than cleanses the republicans. How can being like her which you profess to hate somehow be ok. I thought folks were about policing their own. This is an example of why that does not work.

Conservatives and republicans need to grow a pair and show integrity. The lack of dems doing so doesn’t really absolve this.

I’m a conservative Republican who saw trump’s words and actions for what he is and rejected it. I see green for what she is and reject it. I see q for what it is and reject it. Claiming not to know about it is weak. Then learn rather than conveniently ignoring it. You’ve had plenty of time to learn. Do it this afternoon.

And I also reject AOC and most of the dems. That’s a given but doesn’t mean I have to accept the unacceptable from my team while pretending to not be partisan. I know I get accused of no longer being a Republican. If not trading my integrity and logic for my colors means that then maybe so. Who would be proud to be a Republican under those circumstances? I don’t buy those circumstances. The grand old party is not this. I still have faith. If this is the new party then that’s another issue. That would make this not really the grand old party but something new and sick.

Great and we’re do you see a litmus test anywhere but with stuff like this to ridicule and isolate? Don’t tell me that’s a two lane road.
22. Author: teedubbyaDate: Sat, 1/30/2021, 1:19PM EST
I didn’t say ridicule and isolate or anything about litmus tests. Those are your words not mine. And I don’t say it’s a two way or two lane road. It’s the opposite. I don’t identify with the dems. Don’t really care what they do and certainly don’t condone it. I’ve actively worked in campaigns against them.

But that’s not a pass for my side. If I am willing to disagree vehemently with something the dems are for and say so then I have MORE responsibility to do so with someone that claims to be a reflection of me and my views.

If you have any difficulty sorting through this q crap and seeing it for what it is and denouncing it then I don’t know what to say. To me it’s not even a question. that may just define who I am at my core. Others can certainly be more comfortable with it but it will absolutely impact my view of them.

If my party is now all in on this crap and won’t condone it then they are no longer a reflection of me. It’s embarrassing and truly stupid. Say what you stand for and just as importantly what you don’t. Don’t cower and passively condone this crap.

Wrong is wrong. This isn’t even a close call.

But the GOP isn't adopting any "new deals" written by her.

but in the meantime, AOC will be settling in to tenure.
