Just wondering what people's opinions were about this line of cigars. Bought some Adolphus Churchills and they seen to have good construction but definitely needs some aging. What's your opinion??

Not familiar with this brand. Where's it made?

They really don't need aging, only a few days to stabilize after shipping. Adolphus is a discontinued cigar made by Henry Kiki Berger. Berger also makes 5 Vegas, Cupido, Savinelli Nicaraguan, Don Kiki, and many private labels.

They consist of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-filler with a dark, rich Sumatra wrapper. Adolphus are an excellent medium bodied cigar rolled in Esteli, Nicaragua. I don't believe they've been made for at least a couple of years, so these are well aged. I was extremely surprised to see these offered at CBid, recently. I had the good fortune to pick up three boxes at CBid in three different sizes, but missed on a box of robustos this evening.

I had a five pack of torps about a year ago.
Unspectacular, but decent. Consruction was the high point, the flavor lacked depth.
Worth the price I paid (cheap), but likely will search elsewhere for that ever-elusive hidden gem.

Actually, these have become one of my new favorites. My opinion is a bit different than Tailgater's--I think the flavor is fantastic. It's like a melding of the regular Don Kiki line with some ligero to give it a little extra peppery kick. I really like all the different Kiki Berger blends I've tried, and this one is no exception.

Call me "riding the fence" on this one. If I get them at a steal price you might catch me smoking them. They are in my "on the run" section of the humidor.

It never ceases to amaze me how people's tastes differ. I've smoked cigars for a little over forty years, and always am surprised when someone considers a cigar of which I've smoked hundreds and enjoyed, a dog rocket.

I just purchased a 5 pack on CBid on your recommendations (see above) and I will let you know my thoughts later... But you cannot question the qaulity of the manufacturer, they come from good breeding.

Nic or almost anywhere is fine, but I do not like Adolphus, I do not like green eggs and ham.
