This mans name is Ole Ntutu. He is an African from Kenya, Maji Moto. He is also a Masai Warrior.

Some tour companies hire these men as security guards on safaries. Ole was the guard on my wifes vacation to Africa.

He is capable of killing a lion on his own, without a gun. That is a something you must do among others to become a Masai Warrior.

The Masai Warrior is known by the animals in the wild. The warriors wear Red clothing, and the animals after hundreds of years know of them. Wild animals dont mess with the Masai Warrior, they know better!

My wife and Ole became friends. We now support him going to school. He is in the first grade. He is learning quickly!

On a couple of other picture posts, I have put up part of his first letter EVER! Also on another picture post He drew some animal pics that he sent us. He's a pretty cool guy. :>)

Please dont hubcap Ole. He is not important to some of you, but in Africa the Masai Warrior is HIGHLY respected. He deserves some appreciation. Just my opinion.

Say Mag, have you sent him any 'gars? Perhaps you could help round out his education since cigar appreciation probably isn't on the first grade curriculum.

Maybe we could all throw in on a care package, with smokes and M$Ms and other neat "American stuff". Cool idea, no?

Was watching a show tonight and they featured the Masai tribe co-existing with the Driver Ants (largest species in the world). Awesome! Those ants can take down livestock and careless humans.
Those Masai are some tough folks!
