I just finished a cigar that's been resting in the humidor for almost a year. Not to let the cat out of the bag, but it is one of the popular cheapy ones here.

I couldn't believe how outstanding these things get with some good humidor time. Smoked for about 1:45 burned my fingers. I put out the nub and was temped to put it into my pipe and finish it off. I have to admit...these things will stand up to the best of the best.

You have to perdomo me if I was fresh. But when I finished my cigar I rolled in here to wheel out a commentary.

The devil made me do it...honestly.

Refer to old post where just about everyone said they were terrible, ya just terrrible, I think you got lucky, they must have put some real tobacco in yours. No one should buy these, yuk.

Hi Rayder! I am, I think like Yourself, a big fan of the "hidden treasures" You can find on CBids' lower priced less known cigars. It's not the label or the magazine rating. It's how much YOU enjoy it. 🙂

It is amusing to think that maybe someone bought a five pack, or better yet, a box of Edgars because they read here how bad they sucked. 'Cause they really do suck! I mean, I don't think even RICK could smoke them.

I got a wheel of the toro's last week. I'm putting them down for the loooong nap. I had one ott and it was a little harsh. But that's to be expected I guess. After a year or so, they should mellow out 😉

I haven't got ANYTHING that has had a "nap" that long. I guess I could start now and resurrect this post a year from now, just to chime in. My oldest won't be a year old until next April, and those are Green Hero's from my Drew Estate days.

Gotta love being new. A whole new world to explore.

Dan, I'm sure others will agree, it makes all the difference in the world. Many cigars are good OTT. But I personally have some now that have been in the humi for 2-3 years. It does make a difference, definitely. Now mind you, I don't believe you can age flavor into bad cigars. But many many cigars are just so much better after 1, 2, or 3 years. It's amazing. That's why so many folks here have those damn big coolers! 🙂
However, if you buy a good aged cigar, of course, it's ready to smoke or share.
